ABC's for Boys (Alphabet Book, Baby Book, Children's Book, Toddler Book)

The concept is great but the execution isn't. One silly mistake in this book is for the letter B. My two-year-old (and resident truck expert) quickly pointed out that the image for B was in fact NOT a bulldozer - "No mommy. That's a FRONTEND LOADER. Bulldozers have TRACKS". Holy cr@p, he was right!Needless to say, this is not my toddler's favorite alphabet book. He hasn't shown interest in the book since that day he pointed out this flaw.

This is an adorable book!! It is perfect for young boys.A lot of the reviews are bitter, because this is a book specifically for males; however, that is the most absurd and preposterous outlook that I have ever heard of (and I have heard of some insane outlooks before - so I realize that it is a bold statement, but true nonetheless). It is perfectly okay for items to be geared toward young boys; the same as it’s okay for items to be focused towards young girls.With that being said, this is a precious way to help young boys learn their alphabet, and I am quite happy with the entire book! The pictures are large and very nice. The font is a good, large size.If you have or know of a young boy learning or on the verge of learning his alphabet, grab this book! You won’t regret it.

ABC’s For Boys by Michael KrachtAs a retired elementary school librarian/library media specialist, all I can say is - DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT waste your money on this book! I would give it zero stars (0) if I could. This looks to me like a self-published book and not a very good one. The drawings are mediocre at best and some drawings are confusing. J is for Jack-O-Lantern is one example. Although it shows a carved pumpkin face, when my little 3-year old grandson read it he said, “J is for Pumpkin” which is what the drawing looks like to him. I would have returned this book, but then I would have had to pay for the shipping to return it which would have been close to half the purchase price. I already wasted money on purchasing this book and I wasn’t going to spend more money to get rid of it. Beside the strange drawings (like a dog sitting inside a wooden barrel planter) the wording on the verso page and dedication page is very odd, too. (See photos)

Really cute! Nice pictures. I love that there is only one alphabet letter and the corresponding picture per page, the whole way through. It is a little odd the “J” is for jack o lantern. I think jacket or jar or jump rope would have made much more sense as they’re more common terms for young children. I also hate it says “for boys” on the cover...obviously it can be for girls too! All children learn these words first (car, plane, etc). So I suggest putting a sticker on the words “for boys” as one other reviewer did!Overall, I still love this book and recommend it. Easy, cute, alphabet book for ALL toddlers.
