I had a pair of these about a month ago until they were lost, along with the iPod they were plugged into... These were really the only pair of headphones I had ever tried in the sub $40 range, so I didn't have a good basis for comparison to leave a review for these. After I lost my iPod and these headphones, I decided to venture out a bit, try some new pairs. After having tried the $6 Panasonics you can find here on Amazon, $15 Sentey's, and $30 Sennheiser's, I can tell you these SC Fix's are the kings. Here's why;Panasonics RPHJE120G - could not fit my ears properly at all, same goes for several others, you might be different though. Why is this a big deal? If the headphones don't fit your ear properly, it can't form a proper seal which allows the headphones to fully reproduce bass and low end frequencies, and as such, with out the proper seal forming, the headphones have a very hollowed out sound. Sounded like garbage, however you may have different luck depending on how your ears have formed. Would give two stars.Sentey's Cor3 Ls-4218's - Audio started fading in and out of each ear within hours of use. Bass was good, sound quality was good, but literally in less than 2 hours of listening to music on the headphones the audio became unbalanced on the headphones themselves. Tested on multiple devices to ensure it was the headphones themselves, it was. No fix for that. Pretty comfortable fit. Would give three stars.Sennheiser's CX300 II's- Absolutely glorious audio quality, crisp and clear high's, powerful bass (for sub $40 in-ear headphones), great instrument separation, love the fact that the right earphone's cord is longer so you can easily run it behind your neck to get less cord in front of you, great quality carrying case. Big issue for me was these were hell to wear for the first 40 to 50 hours, very uncomfortable fit in my ear for that time. Afterwards, my ears did adapt to these and they became just as comfortable as the Skullcandy Fix's with equally good sound quality. No in-line mic to control volume and song playback though. So due to lack of initial comfort and in-line mic, four stars for these.Skullcandy Fix's - Immediately the most comfortable in-ear headphones I have ever worn. With zero time for burn in, the audio quality in these is just as good as the CX 300 II's after 40 to 50 hours of listening. These do have a bit more bass though, so if you're more of a rock / metal kind of guy, you'll probably appreciate the audio of the Sennheiser's more than these, but even for those genres of music these two pairs of cans are very close in quality. The inline control is extremely useful for me as a drummer, it makes practicing songs significantly easier. I initially paid about $40-$48 for a pair of these from Best Buy and would still be happy paying that price for these again, so you can absolutely not go wrong with these headphones for the price's Amazon has them at! The one's I got from Best Buy lasted me easily over a year or so, and were still going extremely strong when they were lost, so no durability issue at all. So for having the highest level of durability, most comfortable fit right out of the box, equal to / and/or better sound quality to the Sennheiser's, and the convenience of the inline mic control, these really are the perfect set of headphones for under $40.EDIT: Disclaimer: I did pay for these headphones with no discount, $24.44. I was not given these headphones for free for review purposes. They were purchased with my own funds for my personal use.

Not fully functional on Android (but still good)
I bought these solely for the volume control function, as I already know I like the sound quality on Skullcandy products. I did not find out until after I plugged the headphones in that the volume control doesn't work on Android. This is my only issue, but it's a big issue for me. I've already reached out and contacted customer service to purchase another pair with functionality.Aside from this, I really enjoy the feel of the headphones. They aren't painful, the sound quality is great, and I really appreciate the bass in these. They feel different from the Ink'd headphones in terms of construction and materials. The rubber is definitely more tacky, but the plastic parts feel slightly more reinforced. The buttons definitely have a more noticeable response from them, so it's been easier switching through songs than before.I really like these, so it's a huge bummer they can't also change the volume.

Great headphones!
I was looking for a replacement for the skullcandy Titans, which were discontinued, and decided on these because they are chrome. I likes the Titans because they were so sturdy and these were the next best I could find in the same price range from skullcandy. They are chrome so they are more sturdy than plastic ear buds and stay in my ears very well. The sound quality is good for the price, not top notch but completely satisfactory. I was disappointed to see they came with a bag instead of a metal case. The metal case is very helpful for preventing them from tangling or getting crushed. I wish they had not discontinued the Titans but there are a good replacement. The only thing I don't like is the switch to a varying bag but there is no problem with the headphones themselves and I would highly recommend them if you are wanting an quality affordable pair of ear buds.

For the Price, some of the best earbuds for everyday use.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. These earbuds are the only earbuds for this price that I find completely, 100% comfortable. I have yet to experience pain or discomfort from extended use, and they always ALWAYS stay in. The sound is great for my mostly amateur ears and the mic/volume control is easily accessible. Volume control doesn't work for some Android apps/music, but the skip, play/pause, answer button works great, as does the mic.

Trash
They sound alright, but they are pieces of garbage. Skullcandy headphones are a waste of money. The rubber piece fell of and the other sizes don't fit in my ears, a chrome piece on the joint fell off. Never trust this company.

Extremely comfortable, decent sound but lacks bass
I'm a bass head and when I look for headphones I want them to have very good bass. With no EQ, the bass on these ear buds don't impress me. With the EQ set to Hip-Hop on my iOS device it sounds a bit better, but still not as punchy as I would like it. This really disappointed me in that aspect and it will probably disappoint anyone who mainly looks for bass in headphones. Although the bass on these aren't good, the mids and the highs sound decent. The highs can be a bit harsh sometimes. The area where I think these headphones shine, is comfort. These are by far the most comfortable (even after long periods of time) pair of headphones I've owned to date and they have a hard time falling out of my ears which is excellent! I also very much enjoy the design of these headphones. The mic and buttons work fine as well. Overall these are an OK pair of headphones. I would recommend these headphones to average listeners who want something a bit better than the basic iPhone headphones or anything similar. I definitely would NOT recommend these to bass heavy listeners.
