Sturdy build, takes live performance to a new level
I bought this pedal for live performance in a couple of bands. We an old PA where I couldn’t run a lot of gain or effects through the PA itself that belongs to another bandmate - so I bought this to get around that, plus I figured it would be fun to use because my wife likes to do karaoke at home. If you’re using this for live gigs just be sure to let the sound guy know you’re using it. There’s been no issues so far for live gigs. The selection of effects are great, and very customizable. The pedal is a solid build, road ready, easy to use, and has great sound quality. All the preset effects are great, but you can also customize the pedals to how you want them to perform. Me, my bandmates, and the wife have all been pretty happy with it so far. The only thing I would say is some of the effects can turn up then gain and cause feedback, especially in smaller rooms - so be mindful of your mic placement to monitors and test the effects you’re going to use before each performance for any particular room.

SUPERB’
The media could not be loaded. I do live performances and lead the worship. It is always better with harmonies. The sound is great and very easy to use! I highly recommend this!

Lifetime of fun.
I've been playing guitar for 30 plus years and have never owned a looper but I have used an old 4 track. This is soooo much better. The learning curve is huge but if you read the manual, watch several hours of youtube videos (there are plenty on this unit) and play around with it you will have it figured out in a few days. This looper has turned me into a one man band. This is a great tool for songwriting and jamming. It has opened up a whole world of songs that I would never play alone because they require guitar layering. For example many Kings of Lean songs are just unique riffs that when played alone don't sound like a song. This looping pedal has changed all of that in addition to forcing you to play in time and rhythm which is something you may not even know you are not doing if you aren't playing along with other instruments. The drum tracks are somewhat lacking but definitely sufficient for most songs and can be customized to a point. You will want to order the external power supply because this eats AA batteries. I already see the need to purchase an external pedal to bring drum tracks in without having to bend down and push a button. I also wish this unit came with software to make it more manageable. The drum sound must be turned down from max volume on each patch which is very annoying.

Probably the best vocal effects pedal available.
I have tried and used every TC-Helicon voice unit from the Mic Mechanic, Doubler, Harmonizer, up to the Voicelive Extreme. This BOSS pedal in my opinion beats them all. Primarily the best thing about it is having two pedals on a single unit which can either bypass the entire unit, for a clean signal when you're talking to the audience, and a second pedal which can be assigned for example during a chorus to add extra effects for emphasis (Double, Harmony, Delay etc). The effects sound great. It is easy to adjust your settings to your liking, with many presets which you can tweak and change. My favorite so far is "Arena" with some adjustments. You can even change reverb with a single nob if you realize there's too much for the particular venue you're singing in.I found the TC voicelive units to be overly complicated for live use. The TC Mic Mechanic is simple and good but is lacking in many features that this pedal has. The BOSS unit is almost like combining the Mic Mechanic and Doubler which is just perfect for me.Personally I do not use the looper function but others seem to have good experiences with it.My single criticism is that pitch correction set to a particular key does not sound good at all. You're much better off turning it to "chromatic" if you use pitch correction at all. Even setting to the correct key to the song you're singing and on the softest setting results in odd choppy artefacts and garble in your voice. Unfortunately that means this pedal isn't the best for harmonizing with yourself so I find that feature unusable.I also wish that this unit has a place for a tap tempo control or even midi temp control, but that isn't such a big deal. Overall I'm very happy with this pedal and will be using it for all my performances.

This thing is pretty neat
Haven't messed around with it for too long, but it was pretty easy to navigate the menus for things like chorus, reverb, delay, phantom power etc. Seems solid and well built. Good purchase so far.Update. Been using for awhile and won't sing without it. Add just a tad of reverb and delay with a touch of auto tune and it's a game changer. Love it.

Works great with a Sax!
I’m generally not a fan of using effects on sax, with the exception of a little reverb and delay. That said, I’m digging the sounds that I can come up with, just using the preset functions. I do a lot of sax work with DJs and am finding that some of the presets are fairly useful for me and what I need.I’ve been playing a little with the harmony functions and some looping for some of my solo stuff and enjoying it. Works well live and I’m looking forward to seeing what else I can come up with!

For the price, this is great.
For the price, this is great. It does ok with basic, diatonic type harmonies. Anything more complex needs something more sophisticated and thus probably more costly. The individual outs are really nice as is the option for battery or power plug powered. The instructions were kind of useless. I learned more about it from watching YouTube clips.
