The ants did not live very long that we put in this habitat. I don't really know if it was the ants or the habitat so 3 stars may be a bit harsh. It looked nice and was neat while the ants were alive. We've since cleaned it out, filled it with marbles and turned it into a lamp.

The ant habitat is awesome! The quality is excellent and we couldn't be happier with it. But it's the customer service at Evviva Sciences that is beyond 5 stars in my book. I ordered the habitat for my grandsons birthday and after we got it ordered the live ants from a recommended source (not from evviva sciences as they don't sell or provide the ants) I live in California where the temperatures are mild so I didn't order the warmer for the ants. When they arrived the majority were dead. I tried contacting the company that I bought the ants from just to see what my options were. We were very disappointed. Meanwhile I received an email from Evviva Sciences asking if we were 100% satisfied with the habitat and our experience with them. They said to reply to email if we had ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS. They said they wanted us to have 100% satisfaction. I replied to the email telling them about the dead ants just to see if they could advise us what to do. Long story short they are sending us a new habitat (in case the ants were sick) AND new ants (whenever we want them, with a warmer) all free of charge!! EVEN THOUGH they were not at fault for any of it!!I could not be more grateful!! You just don't find customer service like this any more.If you are looking for an ant habitat this is the place to get one!!! They are so much fun and fascinating!! Can't wait till the weather warms up so we can get ours up and running.Thank you Evviva Sciences!!

The ants seem to like the first blue gel from a different brand better they don't really dig holes even though I already kind of started the holes for them but they're still living so they must be eating it but there is other brands that I think the ants like better I would avoid this particular brand and maybe go for something else I forgot the name of the one that I originally purchased it was from a discontinued one I got on eBay but just wanted to let everybody know

Sending me an opened box. The items have been displaced, box torn and opened. Everything looks to be in working condition so I'm not going to return it. The LED light is pretty cool and it's not too big to take up a lot of space. My daughter definitely thinks it's really cool. Now we just need to order the ants!

Today marks 9 weeks since we placed the ants. They stopped tunneling at 2-3 weeks, but most of the ants are alive and active. We’ve really enjoyed watching the ants. I have kept the blue light on continuously and I try to open the lid 4-5/week to give them air.I highly recommend this ant farm.
