Q: We get an audible buzz from the transformer is this normal or will my house burn down?

That sound usually comes from a lack of laminating varnish on the windings around the core. You can try moving it away from anything causing electromagnetic interface, it might help, although it might not. It is safe, just annoying. If the sound doesn't bother you, then its all good. If it does you could ask for a replacement.

Hi you are better buying the ring adaptor as it will give you the correct voltage and will be better than the aftermarket ones available.

Yes, providing that you join the wires correctly and tape so as wires do not touch. You could also use a choc m’ bloke to do this…😎

Not sure but it works my ring door bell althoughit is a bit noisy
