I bought this specifically to warm candles as advertised. After receiving it I immediately tried using for 15 minutes with a medium-large candle where half the wax had been used up and tunneled.I immediately noticed a burning smell and a smoke coming out from the middle of the plate. I thought perhaps it was just the plate getting warmed up and decided to monitor.10 minutes later I saw the whole heating plate had collapsed in after melting off the plastic ridge. When I took my candle off in alarm and moved the plate, to my horror the whole thing had burned through onto my furniture.This is dangerous and absolutely should not be used. Returning this and unfortunately have to return to double boiling.

I've always liked the idea of candles but I'm a bit of a wimp about fire. This seems to work, and it was a great price, at about $10 when I purchased it.From what I've tried so far, this works better with smaller, single wick candles. I can get a single wick Bath and Body works candle to burn in two to three hours.Larger candles, like 3 wick candles will fit on here but take a long time to warm up and you don't really get the full scent, at least not immediately. It can take up to 4 hours, which is longest I've had the warmer on.I like that this has an on and off switch. The only thing that would improve this is an auto shut-off like some other candle warmers have.In summary, I think this is worth buying. I haven't tried it for drinks, but it seems like it would work for those too.

It does it’s intended job. Warms up my teas or melts my candles. The only drawback I have is that there is no automatic shut off timer. Others I’ve used have had that safety precaution and I like that it turns off after a few hours being on. However, this one stays on for a long time and doesn’t turn off on it’s own.

This is the best ever. I have a bunch of bath and body works candles that still have wax but the wick is gone. Bought this and it melts the wax from the bottom. Now i can pour all the wax into candle jar.The price was decent as well.

I have never used any candles given to me because I hate fire. I now can finally keep my candles versus regifting them. My room smells great
