I'm pleased with these mats. The half inch thickness is more than good enough for all but the most intensive uses. I'm using these as anti-fatigue mats in the kitchen, and the cushioning is perfect -- soft enough to provide cushioning but still firm enough for excellent durability.Each pad comes with 2 edges. It would have been nice to have 4 edges per pad, but 2 work for most uses. The dark grey color extends throughout the pad so the exposed edges (with or without an edging strip) don't stand out. The texture on the surface provides good grip even when they are wet.A very good value for the price -- five stars.

These mats worked excellent for what I got them for. I have a 15 year old White German Shepherd that was having a hard time getting around on hard wood floors. I use these to help her get around. Works excellent. The cats did like to scratch at them and it did live pick marks but they were still usable. Only other thing you need to look out for is if it gets wet under them while on a hard surface they are extremely slick when you step on them and will slid out from under you, which caused me to fall a couple times. I now watch for wet spots made by the little dogs that don't like to go out when it is raining or cold! Was very nice for my old feet to walk on also. Just be careful of the slipping when wet.

I bought these for car camping - used them to make a floor in my tent. They worked great. Biggest con was that they smelled awful when they arrived so make sure to give yourself time to air them out before use. Otherwise, no issues, fitted together great.

I use these in my barn and they have held up to small animals well. They give a bit of traction and added cushion. I don't think they would hold up to larger animals though. They are a bit hard to clean, but serve the purpose I need them for. There was no smell to the product which I appreciate.

I was worried about buying these online and not being able to feel them or see the quality but these are exactly what I wanted. We use them on our hardwood floors for my daughters toys. They are a good thickness, are durable, firm but not hard and not too squishy. I would definitely use these in our workout area.

The media could not be loaded.  I've covered my basement in foam mats, then laid extra carpet pieces that my parents had leftover on top of that. Transformed my basement from a gross dungeon into almost like any other room. You can walk barefoot down there and think nothing of it. But most of my floor is covered in the other style of these, not this style. Videos aren't uploading, properly - probably amazon censoring me, again, but I included a pic that shows this style next to the style I'm referring to.These are better than those. Those ones don't line up properly every time. Even within the same package, they won't all connect just right. Which is fine for connecting 2x3 with a single 6-pack. But I did my entire basement. And if every other connection is a few millimeters off, by the time you get 5 rows down, it's the leaning tower of Pisa and you can't connect mats, anymore. So my floor ended up being 4 different segments. If I'd used this style, I wouldn't have had that problem.I tested these by taking 2 packages and connecting them together. One from pile A, one from pile B, A, B, A, B. No problems.I was surprised, though, that the 0.5 inch was so much more noticeably squishy than the 0.375 inch. You wouldn't think and eighth of an inch would be a big deal, but these had noticeable rebound when walking on them. I imagine that's better for cushioning falling objects.

Very good for home use. But not good for stabilizing, when I tried putting under my elliptical it made it shake much more. works fine for my bowflex and is very good for doing sit-ups and other floor exercises.The tiles do fit together good but I did have to cut some of the small pieces that are on the sides that are not connected to another tile to get the edges to properly fit with the next tile. to make this more clear, if you have say 9 tiles connected in a square the tiles that are on the edge but not corners. You need to cut the little piece that goes on the outside to fit properly with the pieces on the corner tile. One other issues is that the tiles keep disconnecting from the other tiles my themselves.

These were very easy to assemble, though there is a small thing to notice with the edging pieces - there are different types and some don't work with others. If you've ever done a puzzle, you'll figure it out.The mats are not too firm, but also not too squishy - a nice middle ground of firm and flexible. We're using them for a treadmill landing pad (treadmill arriving soon), but in the meantime they're a nice yoga mat alternative.

Used for cosplay crafting, absolutely perfect for it, thick rigid foam no scuffs or marks on it upon arrival.Wanted to buy more but they were out of stock so I guess I'm not the only one who likes these

I bought this and used it for my basement gym, it's a good level of cushioning and almost completely non-slip, but you'll need a lot of it to cover any significant area (I used 3 packs to get a good area for my workout area)
