Q: What is the diameter of the larger ring? What is the Diameter of the Smaller ring?

i don't have it in front of me. but roughly three inches inside diameter for the larger. and one inch for the smaller. the rope(s) don't go through the lower ring just the carabiner. the largest rope i have is 10mm and even doubled up it fits and feeds well through the upper hole.

Q: The product details says this thing is 8" long. Can anyone tell me what the length really is?

I don't know if that is the same one that I bought. I bought a black diamond belay that has a number on it "102144". it's 4.75" tall. 3" OD on the big ring. 1.75 OD for the small ring. never had any problems with it. I did buy another belay: https://www.amazon.com/Teroys-Terminal-Descender-Rappelling-Equipment/dp/B01LW56B10/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_2?s=sporting-goods&ie=UTF8&qid=1492155351&sr=1-2-fkmr0&keywords=xinda+50kn . It is about 6.75" tall. 3.75" OD big ring. 2.5" OD small ring. Small middle ring between other rings. Has hooks on the big ring. (more useful)
