Yuji Sakai sculpt SH MonsterArts Godzilla 2001 (a.k.a. GMK Godzilla) c/f with NECA & others
I own the 1964 SH MonsterArts Godzilla (regular and emergence versions), the 1994 SH MonsterArts Godzilla (their first Godzilla figure in this line with the breath effect), and SH MonsterArts 1992 Mothra: Special Color Version with Mothra Larva. I also own the NECA 1994 Godzilla, Godzilla 2001 regular and Atomic Breath Effect, and NECA Shin Godzilla regular and Atomic Breath Effect, And both versions of NECA's 2014 Godzilla. I had and sold some SH MonsterArts Godzilla figures because I felt the NECA looked as good or better or the joints continually fell off (i.e. SH MonsterArts Godzilla 2002). The main reason I got this was because Amazon's $60.00 Prime price with free shipping (1 day). After it arrived though I was very pleased that the figure seemed larger and heavier than the other SH figures (especially the 1964 Godzilla – the 2001 is between 6.5 and 7 inches depending on how it is posed). I am also happy to say after posing the figure at length not one joint detached or any limbs fell off (the SH Burning Godzilla lost a foot right out of the package). I know others may have different experiences but based on the figures I have seen this one is tight, very well sculpted by the master Yuji Sakai, and it holds its’ poses well. It resembles the movie version for features more closely than the NECA version but the NECA can also get some poses the SH figure cannot (i.e. the waist is very tight on the SH version) but overall, I would have to say the SH Godzilla 2001 is much more articulated than the NECA. For me I like them both and at Amazon's price and shipping as of November 2018 it is the best SH MonsterArts figure deal I have found for a new in package figure. The package arrived in one day as promised and the box and figure were in good shape. A+ Amazon and SH MonsterArts.

One of SH MonsterArts BEST...
I own four other SH MonsterArts Godzillas (Millennium "Original Paint", 1963 Godzilla versus The Thing, 1994 Godzilla and 2014 Spitfire Edition Godzilla). All are wonderful. That said, some do suffer from the "loose ball joint", detaching parts issues that plague some of these posable figures. That is not true of the GMAT Godzilla. This is a solid build. No loose fitting joints. The figure stays posed. For Godzilla fans, this is a VERY accurate depiction of one of the most unique representations of Toho's top character. From the snarling jaws, huge fangs, the elongated neck and enormous dorsal plates, this is one fantastic Godzilla. If you're a fan of the movie and this Godzilla, this is a purchase certainly worth making. If your a colllector, this is certainly a must have for your collection.

SHMA Goji 2001
I've only owned a SHMA 2014 Goji. Really disappointed by it's small scale and low detail teeth. So I took a chance with this 2001 Goji. Wow it's a lot larger than the 2014 G which was shy of 6". This GMK Goji is 6.5" and is noticeably larger. In fact it's just shy of half and inch to be 1/12 scale(figma, SHFA) as a rubber suit scale. But it looks like it can get away with it though the actual suit was about 7 feet tall!Anyway, the details are good for it's size. Eyes are painted in well. Only gripes:-Lower jaw is too far back. Though I suspect it was a trade accuracy when jaw opens-Right and left fangs are not the same length. On mine, the right side is almost twice as long then the left fang.-Gums above teeth are black for some reason. In the movie they are typical pinkish. Strange choice Bandai...Overall I love it. Price is about right considering it's size and weight. I picked this Goji because I felt it's the best definitive design of what an overall Godzilla should look like. The rest of the design is just a bonus. Like the designers used a "sea monster/coral" theme infused with the design. From coral-like shaped spikes/scales and cheeks(separate head used for close-ups in the movie you can see coral-like frills coming out of his cheeks) to the whited-out eyes reminiscent of a sea dragon or something. Of course most fans think the eyes are just evil. But I think it also adds to the sea creature design. If your a fan of this Goji, buy it. Bandai does a lot right here instead of wrong. Also it's a great scale. Wish it's was 7" tall though but that's ok. Hope the rest of the Millennium Gs are this tall. Just putting this out there. Bandai, do a SHMA Orga please!

Love it!
It's about 7.25 " tall and about 11" long from the end of the tail to his toenail. This is a great figure. If you are familar with SH Monster Arts, and if you have a collection you have probably encountered a few of these with some issues with arms popping off when moved. There are some "lemons", but with Amazon you can return them and the next one you get for the replacement is usually perfect with no issues.I use these for stop motion and they are great. I am returning this one due to the left upper arm...which keeps popping off. No worries for me. I will just get a replacement and it will probably be fine. Even with the hassel of having to return some of these SH Monster Arts Godzilla figures, it's totally worth it because they are just amazing.

Best SH monsterarts Godzilla yet!
By far my favorite SH monsterarts Godzilla! Hand and tail were popped off when I opened the package but they popped right back on. With my figure I have not yet experienced the issue many people have had with this figure as far as pieces popping off the joins so that's nice! Great figure, highly detailed, and mine feels nice and solid with no parts easily popping off!
