You can go at any LEGO store and configure your own figure(s), like 3 for $9.99. You can build as many as you wish, whatever you wish and have a figure that you think you'll like with this set. If you like the set the fact LEGO put a boy figure only shouldn't prevent you for enjoying the whole set.

It is not very complicated, so no more than 20 minutes. Most of the pieces are accessories (mugs, fishing poles, etc.) for camping.
