Fantastic Purchase - Made a huge difference
I'll start by saying I never leave reviews, but sometimes you buy something and just have to...1 - SetupSetup was a breeze, download the app, grab one of the units that you'll use as the main device and select which mode you want to use (I opted to completely replace my router and use the 'main' halo as the router). You're guided through the process and are asked if you want automatic or manual setup. I first tried manual which I'll be honest I couldn't get to work, when selecting automatic I waited about 10 minutes and boom first halo up and running. Get any additional units, place them strategically and again use the guided process to link each unit together. All up and running in about 30 mins.2 - The appI actually don't quite understand some of the poor reviews stating the app being a limitation. Yes, you can't quite do EVERYTHING you could if you had a web portal like some of the more expensive units. I work in technology (and have worked specifically in a networking capacity) and I honestly couldn't tell you what 99% of users would need that the app doesn't offer. Port forwarding / QoS / priority etc etc can all be done via the app.It also notifies you of any new connections, allows you to name and categorise the devices (great for younguns whom you may want to restrict certain websites from). And you're able to setup 'profiles' for each person so that those profiles are applied to the devices they add.At first, my main PC was dropping (very occasionally), go into the app, select the device and then bind it to the strongest unit (rather than using the roaming capabilitis) and its been absolutely rock solid ever since. Also, the 'network optimisation' function is great too, I've only used it once but it found a really good channel (verified via inSSIDer) and I'm on a quiet channel with little interferance.3 - Stability / SpeedI've had this now for about 8 weeks and I've not had a single problem with it. I've seen in some other reviews they've had to reboot a unit or 2 etc but (whilst I know its early days) I literally haven't had to touch it since setup. Its been absolutely fantastic from the day I installed it. I'm an avid gamer and with my previous setup I'd have the odd disconnect (only breifly) and some games just don't deal with that well. One of my favourite games did this and I'd have to log out/back in again multiple times per night (not good with the type of game played). This setup has COMPLETELY illimintated that and has also reduced my average ping by about 12 (now sitting at 7ms ping on almost all games).Speed wise, from the further point in the house I can get from any of the units, I lose about 10% and no more. My provider gives me 300up/300down and again at the furthest point I get 275/260.4 - ConclusionFor the price paid for these units (I got the pack of 2), at the price of purchase £59.99 they're probably one of the best networking kit I've purchased. Replacing a £300 'WiFi 6' router, these absolutely smoke it out of the park. PC's/Laptops/Phones/Gaming/Downloads have all performed significantly better on these than the previous, much more expensive router I honestly wished I'd tried these much sooner. Finally, downloading/streaming etc on multiple devices all at once this kit doesn't miss a beat. Previously if we had guests round all doing their own thing we'd see some speed drops and inconsistencies. With this, everything I've thrown at it so far no matter what you're doing it just handles it, no questions asked. If you're on the fence about mesh, or even considering a new router I'd honestly suggest giving these a try. They're owned / operated by TP-Link as their 'consumer' focused brand, but honestly they outperform everything I've tried so far (AP points/extenders/very expensive routers) and I'd have no problem purchasing Mercusys again.Fantastic piece of kit and I'd buy it again no question.

Easy Set Up, Works Really Well
Bought this for my bungalow as my VM router wifi doesn't reach the other end of the bungalow 18 metres away.Great value. No need to spend more on other more expensive brands.Small in size and unobtrusive.Easy to follow setting up instructions on the app. After positioning and setting up, switched my VM router from router to modem mode and renamed the Halo wifi and password to the same as the VM router to save having to change the passwords on all our devices. This Halo system works much much better than the VM router with no drop outa and the added bonus that speeds are no longer throttled back. My Internet speed is now more than what I pay for and wifi strength, stability and coverage is excellent throughout the house and even accessible in the front and back gardens.I highly recommend.

Good Mesh Pods That’s Reasonably Priced
I bought these mesh pods as I was having trouble with my Wi-Fi dropping out in some parts of the house. Since I’ve installed these pods I’ve now got full coverage in my house and a strong connection in every room. I have a total of 22 devices connected to the Wi-Fi and the pods handle them all no problem. The mobile app it comes with is super easy to setup and use. It allows you to configure the network, see signal strength and automatically optimise the network. The app also allows you to control the mesh network remotely if your out of the house. When using mobile devices it automatically switches you to the nearest pod as you’re moving through the house ensuring the strongest signal. The only reason I have rated as 4 stars instead of 5 is they throttle my internet connection down from 250 Mbps to 80 Mbps. As all my devices which require a faster connection (Xbox % PC) are still running off the Wi-Fi from the router this isn’t really a problem for me. The 80 Mpbs it delivers to the other devices is more than sufficient for my needs.I recommend to anybody who has Wi-Fi trouble in their home and is looking for a cheap solution. If you require a faster speed go for the MERCUSYS mesh pods that have higher MBPS.

Exceptional Mesh WiFi System – Reliable, Fast, and Easy to Set Up!
The MERCUSYS Halo H50G Mesh WiFi System has completely revolutionized the internet experience in my home. With three units working together, it provides seamless, uninterrupted coverage throughout the house, even in areas where my previous router struggled to deliver a signal. The mesh technology ensures that as I move between rooms, my devices stay connected without any drop in performance, which is perfect for streaming, video calls, and gaming. One of the standout features is the speed. With AC1900Mbps capability, this system handles all my devices effortlessly, from 4K streaming on the smart TV to multiple smartphones and laptops connected at the same time. The gigabit ports on each unit are a fantastic addition, allowing me to hardwire devices like my desktop and gaming console for an even faster and more stable connection.Setting up the system was surprisingly simple. The companion app guided me step-by-step, making it quick and stress-free to get everything running smoothly. Managing the network is just as easy, with options to set up guest networks and control access for different devices. The sleek design of the units is also a plus—they’re compact and fit into my home without looking out of place. If there’s one minor drawback, it’s that the system doesn’t support WiFi 6, which would have been nice for future-proofing. Additionally, while the app is user-friendly, it lacks some advanced customization options that more tech-savvy users might want. However, for the average household, the features provided are more than sufficient.Overall, the MERCUSYS Halo H50G is an excellent investment for anyone looking to upgrade their home WiFi system. It’s fast, reliable, and incredibly easy to set up, making it a great choice for both small and large households. Highly recommended!
