The Science Spell Book: 30 Enchanting Experiments for Kids Paperback – July 6, 2022

This book is stunning! The images are brightly colored and beautifully captivating! The experiments are easy and exciting, and the spells are creative! There is so much fundamental science in this book that I actually wasn’t expecting at all! Just from skimming it so far, I noticed that it teaches things like how to make simple electrical circuits via cute, attention grabbing crafts; it teaches physics via pendulum; it teaches about color changes and ph values through basic chemistry experiments (she and I also love to paint together so this is already inspiring more experiments!)… Honestly, the list goes on but I don’t want to spoil everything lol This is a great opportunity to teach magic and science hand in hand and how magic of is a natural part of the physical world and works WITH nature, not against it! My 3 year old daughter has been really interested in my craft for the past year and has been using a lot of my supplies (which is fine! But I feel like it’s time to get her her own!), so for Christmas this year I am building her a baby witch kit with this book as the foundation, along with all of the ingredients in the book in cute bottles, a pastel blue cast iron cauldron to make the spells in, and a small notebook to use as her first grimoire to help her record her spells 💜 This book is going to be such a hit with our family for the coming year and probably beyond! I feel like it will definitely give us inspiration for more avenues to research as she learns! We are starting her homeschooling this year as well, and I feel like this is a great introduction to science book to get her to fall in love with it and foster a curiosity about the world!!! I’ve already recommended this book to several friends lol The pictures are only odd and the pages only look stiff because the spine is very thick and sturdy, and I want her to be able to crack it herself when she opens her gift, but given that, this book will likely last for a very long time!

I recived the first book and immediately bought a second. First one i bought for my 8 year old grandson I am blown away by the content. The book is constructed to last and also colorful enough to keep a youngsters attention. Information is well written and oh so informative. My grandsons will love this and his parents will enjoy the time experience even more. Bought the second book for a teacher friend. She teaches elementary gifted students. This will become a great resiurce for her as well. Such a wonderful finnd!

I can’t say enough good things about this book. I homeschool a toddler and a teenager, and it has been useful for both! It lays out everything you need ahead of time, experiments are easy, and it gives context to help explain to kids. Such a wonderful book, one of our favorites for sure.

This is cute. The book is quality. East to follow the author is a scientist but decided to pass on knowledge to little ones. My 8 year old loves it. I loved it. Was easy simple all while actually learning things even myself. It isnt voodooishits honest to goodness science experiments using simple items.

The experiments are a little too advanced for my daughter (totally my fault- I didn't look at the recommended age first,) but we're able to adapt a few. She loves walking around with her own little "spell book." This may also be another fault of mine due to misunderstanding, but this isn't fully nature based. The experiments involve parts of nature and have nature themed teachings, but you need quite a few other things that aren't available on hand for some experiments, like hobby motors, 5 mm lights, and wires. The experiments are really well thought out and I love that they get tied back into a nature theme, it just wasn't what I was expecting. It's a great book for kids to grow with and will be of use for a long while if you can find and afford the extra parts.

I highly recommend this book for your little wishes that are starting out. It explains things very well. It's so fun! We haven't found one sorry in it that my girl hasn't loved!
