Some people have complained that the hat comes folded into quarters. Mine didn't come that way (I ordered the gray version). It came in a simple plastic bag with the hat folded in half on the sides. I think this way, it fits and wears fine even if you don't go to any effort to iron out the wrinkles/crease (more on that in a moment). When wearing it this way (with the crease in it), it doesn't really affect how it looks and it doesn't flop down in your face. To fix any creases USE A TOWEL and iron with the steam setting on. Put the hat UNDER a towel and then use your steamy iron on top of the towel (hat is just below the towel) and this way you can pretty easily remove the creases with several passes of the iron and not ruin the hat. DO NOT put the iron directly on the hat (it's just nylon). Anyway, it fits well, has soft material that touches your forehead and it has a nice wide brim without looking really goofy (which is one of the main reasons I bought this). I wanted this as an alternative to the more expensive Outdoor Research (OR) 'Sunbriolet' sun hat. This hat is wider than the OR hat and has an overall similar design. I want this for vacations when I'll be in the sun all day and also for mowing the grass, which takes a few hours. My hats end up getting a bad sweat ring where it touches my forehead, because I get very sweaty on summer vacations and I found that I CANNOT remove the sweat stain from my OR hats, no matter what I try (I also asked OR for suggestions too and nothing helped - big dark sweat stain :(. Anyway, with these hats being only $20 or so, I won't feel bad buying another one for the next year's vacation. FYI - 3 of my photos are BEFORFE ironing it and the other 4 photos are after ironing (to remove the wrinkles).

I'm not sure what to say other than it does what it should and keeps the sun off of your head and face. I tend to only wear it when doing yard work mid day.

The biggest brimi could find on Amazon. Not disappointed. Not the same construction quality as a $50 hat, but not bad.

Nylon weave similar to sailcloth. Interesting crown arrangement, curious to see if snap on rain cover stays with it. Actually very comfortable as crown completely holds my skull which helps keep hats on. Weave of crown is elastic so one size fits my 7 3/8 snugly with no discomfort. Brim reinforcement stitching will hold brim just open with some droop, fine by me. Curious to see how much farm work abuse it will handle. Dark gray is just darker than medium, also fine by me.
