Amazing improvement over sand. I put 18 bags into my Triton TR140 (it's a beast). I accidentally had the backwash valve in the normal run position and a bunch of the dust slowly leaked into the pool before I realized what was going on. Threw the valve on and finished the job --backwashed per the directions. However, the damage had been done in my pool was very cloudy from that initial "leak". I ran the filter for about 15 hours with no improvement. The fix was some good quality clarifier, a couple treatments did the trick. The water clarity is amazing, much better than the best I ever got with sand. At night with the lights on, there is no comparison. See the two pictures attached, I don't even need to label which is which. This stuff is worth it.

Pump runs excellent and keeps the pool quite clean. Hoping it lasts as long as “they” claim….

Since switching to this my water has been crystal clear. I will never use sand again as long as this is available. With sand my water looked good but not as clear as I'm seeing now.

I used 175lbs. Have 350 lb Pentair sand filter. I Backwashed it thoroughly, pool still turned little green. Thought I made a big mistake like some of the other reviews stated.. used a clarifier..also had lots of pollen. In 2 days, it cleared up.. Water is crystal clear a week later. And much clearer than sand.. I will now wait to see the longevity of the product…but so far, I recommend it… if you think u backwashed enough, backwash more… or like some people recommend and did, Rinse in bucket first before introducing to filter, then backwash. Manufacturer should have it rinsed before selling. Here’s my before and after pics

I guess you hate it or love it. After 6 years of using sand, I changed over to the ZeoSand. Works fine and my water is perfect. It was also perfect with the sand. What I have noticed... The ZeoSand requires less back washing and seems to trap more stuff. When I do back wash, it takes a little longer and the site glass shows the junk its filtered out. As it does trap more (IMO,) it takes a little more time to back wash, but less frequent. I do believe it filters better than regular sand.I replaced 300 pounds of sand with about 200 pounds of ZeoSand.I would use it again......

We purchsed this product Fall 2024 to replace 5 year old sand in our filter. Our filter size required 250 Lbs of ZeoSand. We followed the directions exactly. Removing all the sand, washing everything clean, installed 250 lbs of ZeoSand and began the backwash process. The water came out white (hazy) backwash after backwash for the next couple days I continued the process and my perfectly clear pool turned cloudy and a layer of dirt started laying in the bottom and steps of the pool, the ZeoSand was not filtering the small dirt particles and had cloouded up all the water. I continued to back wash, which was a waste of water, pool chemicals & money. I then increased (almost doubled running of the pump time. It never got better. I have been taking care of my pool for 25 years and never had this problem before. It seems the product was faulty. I reached out the company for an answer and or a refund, never received a response. I ended removing the Zeosand, draining most of the pool to remove the cloud, adding back in regular chemicals to balance and resetting my pump back to regualr winter hours. I WOULD NOT BY THIS PRODUCT THE SELLER DOES NOT REPSOND NOR DO THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT.

The Water in our pool never looked better!! Stuff came right away. Don't know how they sell it for far less than I could buy it locally AND ship 250 pounds (and it would have taken 500 pounds of regular sand) of it to my front door for free, but they did. Used to have to backflush every 2 weeks, but going on a month now with ZERO pressure variance. Anyone that said they had a problem with this product I would think did not follow instructions and backflush initially enough. It does take quite a bit of backflushing the first time to get rid of all the fine dust, but we did, and it's been perfect. Would HIGHLY recommend this product.
