Worth the additional cost compared to other styles...
I would be delighted to write a positive review of Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm, which is an outstanding product for weightlifters of all levels! As someone who frequents the gym and has lifted heavy weights for years, I can attest that finding the right collars for my barbell has been a challenge. My gym does not have flush callers, only spring-loaded callers, and the movement of the "slop" on the plates can be very disorienting, especially when attempting to squat close to 600 pounds. This is where Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm has been an absolute game-changer for me.The fact that these collars are flush helps to solve the disorientation problem that I have faced in the past. The movement of the barbell feels much more stable and secure with these collars, which has allowed me to focus on my form and technique during my lifts. In the past, I have purchased other collars that have a rubber gasket on the inside. While they were affordable, over time, especially when leaving them in a cold car overnight, the gasket began to break down, making it increasingly difficult to get the collar on the barbell. This is not an issue with the Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm collars, as they do not have a rubber insert. They are well worth the additional price, as I have a feeling that these will last for an extremely long time and they won't have to be replaced every few years like the rubber gasket-style collars.Overall, I would highly recommend Lock-Jaw HEX 50mm collars to anyone who is looking for an excellent product that is both reliable and easy to use. These collars are flush, which provides excellent stability and support during lifts, and they are made with high-quality materials that are built to last. So go ahead, invest in a pair of these collars - your lifts will thank

Great barbell collar with a very strong grip
These are great barbell collars that hold very strong to your bar. They are easy to lock/unlock and they look nice. The only drawback is that they are a bit low profile, and for most Olympic weights, that is not a problem however, I have one set of plates that are a bit out of spec with the side that interacts with the collar not being flat, and these collars do not hold this one particular set of plates very securely. That wont be the case with just about any other plates I've used in my life, but I'm throwing it out there to consider before you might purchase one of these. Again, these work amazingly with every other plate I own.

Simple and Solid with Tight fit on the bar
Of the types of collars to be used to hold the plates on the bar, this style is my favorite. I don't like the spring clips that usually come with most Olympic sets, although they work well - just harder to use. I've used this clamp style at my local gym and it was my favorite over any type they had. If you've decided on this style then read on for my thoughts on this brand. If you are not sure which style, I'd suggest this one over the others.I looked at many versions of the this type in all price ranges. Almost bought the Rogue version for more than twice the price so I was looking for quality. I wanted to be sure it locked tight and stayed on. I was intrigued by the ones in the 10 to 15 dollar price range but skeptical of quality. This brand has a higher end version and many have reviewed them to be similar to each other, some even preferred the less priced one for function. This one feels solid, easy and quick to use. I was very happy with how tight it gripped the bar. No hesitation in recommending this for use in a home gym. I also like the fact that you can choose a wide range of colors. If I go for a second set of collars for the curl bar I just ordered, I'll be getting these again...maybe even in a different color.

Works great, but loosens signficantly over time
I got these when setting up my home gym initially, and honestly, they work. They keep the weights on the bar. That said, after 6 months of lifting every other day (about), I struggle to get the plates tight with these. No matter how tightly I set them, I always have play during deadlifts.I recently switched to Rogue's HG 2.0 (mostly for magnets, because I suck at keeping track of collars), and the difference is night and day with respect to plate play.TL;DR These collars do their job of keeping plates on and in the right position, but go for an upgrade if you want to deadlift/clean/etc.

Fantastic clips
These clips are fantastic! Fit perfectly on the bar, easy to put on and remove. My personal trainer even asked me for the link.

Solid product, simple to slide on/off and lock weight down
I landed on these for my home gym after scrolling through barbell collar pages for a while, based on the good reviews. They are surprisingly well made and slide on/off (while unlocked) easily over the 2" olympic barbell. The locking mechanism is simple and holds well also. Never had any slips or anything and I can get the weight snug to the end of the bar. I get tired of dealing with the spring style collars that I wanted something simple to pull weight on and off the bar. I don't lift a ton of weight so doing heavy deadlifts isn't an issue for me; but I have read that some collars will snap on very heavy (300+ lbs) lifts. These seem durable enough to where that might not be an issue but if you're moving that kind of weight, you'll likely just want to get traditional metal collars.
