Light and easy to strap on paddleboard!

Best seat option for BKC units.
The seat works well. This is my 3 seat for the same kayak in four years of heavy use. Ir would be great if replacement straps were available. The straps wear much factor the the seat itself.

Good quality and comfortable
My Hobie seat was stolen, a replacement was on back order so I got this seat. With some modifications it worked great.

Comfortable enough, but no padding and not for wider people
Disclaimer: Most of my spine is fused, so I have specific needs for a chair. I wanted to use this on a Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP).Pros: I liked that it raised me about 4” off the board and it helped take some pressure off my knees and hamstrings. I liked that it was lightweight and easy to use. The bar across the bottom helped distribute the weight on the board (no small pressure points like some other chairs). I liked the taller back and that I could tighten the straps to make the angle as upright as I needed. I was pleasantly surprised there were two built-in straps to tie it to the board. It felt relatively sturdy, though I only tested it in my living room. The straps were low enough that I didn’t feel it would interfere with my paddling.Cons: I did not like that there was little to no padding. The frame, while sturdy, hit me in my upper back and shoulder blades and without any padding it got uncomfortable quick. There was no lower back support, so all of the weight of my upper body was supported on the frame. There are zero pockets or cup holders (not a big deal, but it annoyed me for the price). The side straps definitely limit the size of the person who might fit. I am a female who weighs about 140 lbs and I didn’t feel like I had a lot of spare room side-to-side. Every time I went to sit, my hands wanted to go right where the straps were so it smacked me in my back as it folded up.Bottom line: If it had padding and a little lower back support (or maybe the top bar wasn’t there so it didn’t push into my shoulders), I would have kept this seat.

It is said in the commentary below.
The seat is a disappointing quality given the price--it is a featureless basic seat. No zippered pocket behind the back rest or under the seat.

Not same as photo
The seat I received had a totally different frame from the seat in the photo. Not sure if the seat i received was assembled wrong but the back rest curves in towards my back and is very uncomfortable.
