The DIYMAG Strong Neodymium Bar Magnets are a set of four heavy-duty magnets, each measuring 60x10x3mm. Coated with a triple layer of Ni+Cu+Ni for superior rust resistance, these magnets can hold up to 18 lbs, making them ideal for a variety of applications from kitchen organization to science experiments. However, caution is advised as they are fragile and should not collide with other metal objects.

Great Product, read my honest review
Hello, first I would like to say that I have read reviews on here about breaking and adhesive issues, I am here to cut through the nonsense and give you a clear, sensible, honest and intelligent review, with that said, let's get started. These magnets are extremely strong, they came with a plastic insert between each magnet to help separate them a little to make it easier to remove each individual magnet, I recommend that you turn and slide them apart and not pull, why? Well because if you pull and you lose your grip (which is highly possible) they can "smash" together and break, I simply turned my magnets, one by one as needed and slid it off sideways, absolutely no issues and absolutely no breakages, now for the double sided adhesive tape, it's seems made of a thin foam type double sided adhesive and I tested it, it is very very sticky, now I will say, as with any tape or adhesive, if you do not prepare both surfaces you can have adhesion issues, not the adhesives fault, but the fault of the user, you should clean both the magnet (both sides) and the surface you plan to mount it to with a non oil type cleaner, I used 99% isopropyl alcohol (which can damage certain surfaces so be careful and test it out), after I cleaned the entire magnet and the surface I wanted it to stick to, I allowed the alcohol to dry for at least a minute or more, then I applied the tape to the surface, then applied the magnet to the tape, held it on with pressure from my finger for about a minute or two and voilà!!, A very strong bond between the adhesive to magnet and the adhesive to surface, so moral of this story is, be aware the magnets are strong so don't let them crash together, slide them apart and always prepare your joing surfaces, always. That's all I have for ya, take care and best of luck.I give this product 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

WOW these things are strong!
These things are the strongest magnets I’ve seen of this size! I mean you almost can’t separate them. They also seem to be pretty chip resistant compared to other magnets I’ve got. That could be related to the black coating. I would definitely buy them again.

Breaks easily
These are not as strong as I would have liked in my MISTI stamping platform. They are very strong together. In fact they snap together so hard they broke. They do work in the MISTI as they are flat enough but beware, if you get them too close to one another they will attract violently.

My application was holding up a latch-broken AC/Heater filter housing
I found that one of my latches had failed, causing the 20"/30" ceiling mount filter door to sag, and noticed another worn down considerably. I found a YouTube video describing how one man repaired his door latch using these Neodymium magnets. I tried this out, but could not get the two surfaces to close completely. I rewatched the video and found he used 5mm thick magnets, while these are 3mm thick. My workaround was to double them up (one on top of another), giving me probably 7mm thickness between the door and the top of the magnets. I used this double configuration on the short edge (where the breakage occurred), and two more on the non-hinge long edge, spaced in thirds (one at the 1/3 area, the other at the 2/3 area). By doing this, I was able to get the door to close together and hold without the latches being engaged. For safety I went ahead and latched them when I was satisfied with the repair. For transparency, I also bought these type of magnets in a round configuration, with a countersunk hole in the center. Using a 1" screw, a 3/8" rubber spacer, two washers, and a white porcelain knob handle, I was able to create two more magnetic attachment points, one in each non-hinge side corner. This configuration creates a door attachment system that doesn't put too much magnetic pull (so you can't open the door), and the knobs ensure I can change filters easily and safely. Finally, these are powerful magnets that are also fragile (although I didn't break mine). To separate them without damaging, follow the instructions to turn them, then slide them off. It is much easier this way. Also, the adhesive seems to stick well to these magnets and metal surfaces, but clean those surfaces well, and do your best to avoid touching the sticky part for the best adhesion. I will update this review if anything changes, but for now I am happy to not have to replace the whole door for lack of a couple of 5 five cent latches.

It really holds
The hold for this magnet is unbelievable strong. It is a superior force of holding.

Broken magnets
I will say they were very strong magnetically. However, out of the 12 I received, 4 broke while trying to separate them. Once broken, polarity reversed so attempting to 'match them back up" was futile.I needed all 12 and ended up using broken ends to finish the job.

Worked perfectly for the project I had!

Strong and Versatile Magnets – Perfect for Home and DIY Projects!
These magnets are super strong for their size and are perfect for sticking items to metal surfaces like the fridge, whiteboards, and even in my garage for organizing tools. The double-sided adhesive makes them incredibly convenient for sticking onto non-metal surfaces, which has been a huge help for DIY projects and crafts. Each magnet is the perfect size (60x10x3mm), not too bulky but still incredibly strong. I’ve used them to hang pictures, secure small tools in the garage, and organize office supplies. The adhesive is also very reliable—it sticks well and holds up even with items of decent weight. The only reason I’m giving this product 4 stars instead of 5 is that the adhesive can sometimes leave a residue when you remove the magnets, especially on painted surfaces. But it’s not a huge issue, and it’s easy enough to clean off.
