CyberPower RB1280A UPS Replacement Battery Cartridge, Maintenance-Free, User Installable, 12V/9Ah

This replaced the original battery in an old (and very good) Cyber Power CP825AVRG. The original battery lasted a very long time, but I got no warning from the crappy Cyber Power software before it failed completely. The old battery was almost impossible to remove - it was very, very tight fit and had a sticky pad underneath it which made removal much, much harder. The wires and terminals are very awkwardly placed, and made installation frustratingly difficult. Care must be taken not to short across the terminals, and to make sure the wires haven't fallen off during installation. Just a really dumb design. That said, the new battery was a worthwhile investment in an otherwise very good UPS.

No issues with the replacement. It has performed perfectly and fixed all the issues I had with my PSU. It was packaged very safely.

Easy to swap. Replaced the battery on my 8 year old CP850AVR that couldn’t have a runtime of more than 2 minute lightly loaded.This replacement came out of the box fully charged and swapping was a 5 minute operation.

Replaced the old one after nine years. New One works fine.

Direct replacement for B.B. Battery HR1234W in CP825AVRLCD. Fit was tight, but no different than original battery. UPS is now back to working and will power my equipment when unplugged like when first bought about 5 years ago. It costs more than similar size and rated third party batteries, but hopefully it will last longer than those. Had some I tired for other UPS replacements that only lasted a couple years, which ends up costing more in $ and time.

It's easy to install into my ups once I wrestle the dead battery out. I didn't plug it directly into the wall outlet for the first 8 hours to charge it; I plugged it into a heavy duty extension cord. 😳 Once I realized my error it was fine.

In the past I've replaced the whole UPS unit when the original battery no longer worked, mostly because I no longer liked the UPS I owned and didn't want to sink any more money into it. This time I replaced just the battery because the UPS still met my needs. This battery replacement saved me a lot of money versus buying a new UPS. The replacement battery came fully charged, fit perfectly, and works great. I would have preferred Amazon Key based delivery, but for some reason it was not an option and I had to baby-sit the delivery. The shipper sent me a link to track the delivery vehicle. I never realized that delivery trucks follow a pseudo-random routing pattern to deliver packages to your home. They passed my house a couple of times earlier in the day before finally dropping off the package later in the day. Go figure.

Simply put, my UPS would shut off any time the power flickered, just like a power strip would. Of course, that's because the old battery was done for. I popped it out without an issue and put this one in and everything works fine now. This is much more cost effective than getting a whole new UPS unit.
