Mine was made in Indonesia. I've been told they are made for about $10-25 each. BUT mine is easy to play, has good sound, and doesn't feel cheap.

Q: Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between fret spacing on this ibanez mikro bass and the squire ss jaguar?

The mikrobass has a 28.5" scale length, and I'm pretty sure the jaguar has a 30" scale length so the mikrobass will have frets a bit closer together. I've had mine for a good while now, and I gotta say, I really enjoy the mikrobass!! It's light, small, zippy as can be, and has great tonal versatility for so inexpensive an instrument! Hope this helps!

Mine was a 4-string bass, as it says in the heading. Probably a cut-and-paste mistake in the details listed. Anyway, Amazon is good about returns--or just learn to play a 6-string bass ;)
