LEGOCity Jungle Explorers Jungle Cargo Helicopter 60158 Building Kit (201 Piece)

I purchased 2 of these as I have a 7 year old who is just a lego builder extradinaire - and he has a little brother who is not quite as good at it yet - but always wants what big brother has - so good big brother builds two. One for himself and one for little brother. He doesn't seem to mind because he just loves the build. They both love helicopters and planes, so this kit was popular.

My son loved LEGO City Jungle Explorers Jungle Cargo. Although it only lasted three days until it was destroyed and became part of the deadly pile of legos that inhabit our living room floor, those three days were a whirlwind of magical joy as he propelled the little atv up and down the helicopter rope. That little hook was connected to the metal on our dog's kennels, the little chain hanging from the fan that turns the lights on and off, and even was used to drag a pair of my panties from one side of the room to the other. Those three days of joy were worth the 20-some dollars I paid for the 100th box of legos to add to his collection. Thank you Amazon!

Broke my wrist a few days before I got it. Still so much fun, even with a metal pin sticking out of my arm (no joke).

Having children and knowing how quickly they go through toys, this is a perfect gift. They put it together and then play with it and on to the next one. I was looking for a cool gift for Christmas. I have an over energized child that I figured this would be a perfect gift since it would help him work on his focus and patience.

The LEGO jungle sub-theme has been growing on me... this is a pretty cool LEGO set as part of that line. The ATV vehicle is pretty standard, but is an absolute requirement when traveling the terrain of the jungle. The nice new utility tool offered in the jungle theme is the machete, which this set comes with two.The helicopter is the gold in this set... the helicopter comes with an under-crane that can help pick up and transport small vehicles and/or materials. There are a few pieces that are part of the helicopter that are new to the City theme, which I think is pretty neat. The smaller propellers on the helicopter make it a little more compact than some of the other larger LEGO helicopters, but for a set this size, it does the trick.The two minifigs are pretty neat (one guy and one girl), but I most enjoyed the red spider. I think it would be excellent for LEGO to continue expanding into the animal kingdom. The small jungle scene adds to the set minimally, but if you have several of the other jungle theme sets, then I'm sure there's a great place for it to fit.The pieces with this set are definitely a bright orange, which look cool in person.Overall, I would recommend this set as there is lots of playability and will surely be a hit with your brick family... especially if you're able to get it under the retail price of $19.99.If my review was helpful, please click on 'helpful' below. This was another great build from Lego! There are a lot of helicopter variations and it's nice to see one that is uniquely different since our son currently has about 5 helos. he loves that there is a hook and cable so he can tow his ATV. Our 4 year old was about to put this together with help with the minor details. It's a great bonding experience and helps with his fine motor skills.

7 year old nephew loves it! He built it with no problems by himself and loved that he helicopter had a hook to pull on cars.

My nephew loved it ( but the background that comes in the picture outside the box doesn't come with the LEGO ... Just to let you know:-)
