Great fun for all of us
My granddaughter isn't usually interested in games but I thought she'd like this one and she did. We liked the way that you could finish it at a set point in a fun way. It's fantastic the way that it unfolds into the boat and is quite sturdy. It's good value for money. My granddaughter still enjoys it

Excellent eco-friendly game, but elements feel quite fragile
The media could not be loaded. This is a fabulous game that keeps all of the family entertained every weekend after Sunday lunch. The age of our players ranges from 10-years-old to 79 (almost 80!) and we all have as much fun playing it. The only problem we have is deciding who plays first because this game is only designed for a maximum of four players. This game is completely plastic free with most of the components made from cardboard. The boat folds to store flat and I am not sure how long it will remain in playing condition because it does feel quite fragile.I think that we probably spent half of the game playing time searching around the floor for the overshot cannonballs, but that just added to the fun and became a game of its own trying to race to be the first to find the cannonballs and return them to the table. My 10-year-old granddaughter quickly mastered the skills required to decide which card to play and when to play it in order to get the best opportunity of winning. We only had to refer back to the game playing instructions a few times before we were able to master the rules for each card played. The pirates eye patches added to the fun and it was entertaining watching everyone try to aim and fire their cannonball with only one eye! This is a game that is quick to learn and fun to play, but I do think that the current price of £29.99 is quite expensive because it is mainly made from a thin cardboard material.

A Beautifully Made Game Of Throwing Luck, Pirate Puns & For Us... A Small Mutiny
The media could not be loaded. This is a great idea and is produced to a very high standard, though I do worry about longevity over time with young, excitable and boisterous kids.Opening up the box, the whole thing feels rather lovely and premium. As I unfolded the board, I had a little "ooh that's nice" moment as the pirate ship concertinaed out and into existence.Gameplay is good fun and the first time four of us played, we all enjoyed it. The themed instructions are easy to follow and it is a quick game to pick up. There is a massive element of luck involved rather than skill as the little woolen canon balls bounce in and out of the ship, but it's good fun and there is enough variety and technique to keep things interesting. I've included a little video, which has some slow-mo cannonball tossing that I hope you find helpful. The only issue we had was with the "Swap Colours" card which caused the game to be stopped as my youngest pirate had a little moment, refusing to follow the rules and swap cannon balls. Luckily after the mutiny had been quelled, the game could be finished and she actually ended up winning!Overall then this is a beautifully made game of luck with maybe a hint of skill, as you can fool yourself into thinking you have mastered the throwing technique all whilst wearing the occasional eye patch.

So much FUN
My 12 and 14 year old adore this game. It was so much fun and set up is so simple. It’s all pre-assembled and you just open the board with the boat up like a pop-up book. Just the mast to pop into the ship, that’s all you need to do to assemble it fully. And that’s it! A really easy game and so entertaining.I really liked playing it with my kids and you don’t need a huge amount of skill but there is some strategy and of course luck involved. In simple terms, the game involves throwing felt ‘cannonballs’ at the ship often at the same time, depending on the dice roll, and trying to get them in a formation or to be next to each other. Obviously there’s situations where you may have to do this differently, for example either with the eyes open or closed, with two or with one ball. There’s lots of little things you get to do as well like turning around the ship or swapping cards or even colours with someone else.Lots of things to keep you interested in this game and my two loved it so much they wanted to play again and again, even the next day.We got into the theme of it and had to playlist from the QR code going as well as lots of arrrrring! The game is really high quality and the patches are quite nice and even comfortable.Everything is just well done and I am 100% recommending this.

Great game
This is a very good idea for a game. I have two children. They loved playing this and I admit that even adults will enjoy playing along with this game. Having more players makes this game a lot more fun so definately one for the whole family to join in. This is a well made game and as the name suggests it has no plastic. The aim of the game is to get four balls in a row or line etc. You take a card which gives you different moves and this is where the fun starts. Some are simple 'fire' cards but others are to fire with your eyes shut or with the wrong hand. Then when you think you are about to win someone pulls a card to swap colours with another player, so on every turn it is different. As the balls are quite light it seems to make this a bit easier for children to get them to actually go into a hole instead of when an adult throws them with a bit more force from a greater distance they fly out or hit the sail and go into the sea.The kids have enoyed playing this game and I have to admit that it is a breath of fresh air from all of the stupid poo or bogie games that seem to be on the market at the moment.Well done to the makers of this game, you are doing a great job. This is a well thought out but simple game, well made pirate ship and all without using plastic.

An amazing family game
Super fun family game! The set up is one of the easiet of any board games. We have such an awesome time playing and it really makes for great bonding times. Also, had The kids talking like pirates the whole day. So happy we have this game.

Really fun.
Cute little game that's pretty fun to play with kids. I don't think I'd break it out much to play with adults unless alcohol was involved, then I'd be worried about spilling something on the game board and potentially ruining the paper pop-up pirate ship, which is by the way excellently crafted.

Maybe a little too focused on being sustainable
It seems like the game is trying to sell itself as being sustainably, eco-friendly, sourced. I respect the attempt to care about the planet and all, but the game shouldn't have to suffer for it. Also, I wonder if the emphasis on advertising how eco-friendly it is matches how successful it is at actually being better for the environment. After all, reusable bags end up being worse for the environment in the hands of someone who is conscientious enough to dispose of plastic bags properly.I guess that is my long way of saying... give me plastic/metal cannonballs. The game was fun, if maybe a little too silly. There is card play that allows those who may struggle with the dexterity elements to find a different way to win. And, there is a die that randomizes throws enough that you can't just win by being clever with your cards. That said, I usually lose to my wife in these kind of games, but right when I was one throw away from my first win, she played a card that switched who has which color. Two throws later, she stole the win from me. So, while it is nice in theory, it could also end up being even more discouraging, especially if you are playing with younger kids who struggle with throw dexterity, placement strategy, and card management. Instead of one or two elements to overcome or deal with there are three or four. While all that can be dealt with and is random enough it is hard to get mad, the thing that frustrated us with our first few plays was just the behaviour of the cannonballs. They are so lightweight and spongey that they usually bounced right out of the ship. There wasn't any weight to them where you could just sink a shot. And if you try to strategically bounce a shot, it'll probably go widely off target. I could also see a long term issue as the balls could fray from handling becoming more vulnerable to air resistance and more unpredictable in bounces. Hopefully, instead they'll compact and become more solid and predictable.I should also mention you need to keep your elbows at your side the whole time. So it feels more like you are flinging the balls like a T-rex might than actually throwing anything.Overall, we had fun with the game. We just felt a few tweaks to components could have improved it. It really ended up feeling like the ability/desire to market the environmentally friendly production overshadowed the dedication to having the components play the intended game. That said, nothing was so bad that we vowed never to play it again. We'll be trying it again shortly. So we'll at least have a few plays out of it.
