Some parts are stainless steel and others are plastic. They are excellent quality and I wouldn't be without them.

I am unable to say for definite. I see no reason why a single replacement unit can not be purchased. These soap dispensers have a 5 year warranty provided the item has been registered; either on-line or by telephone. I suppose the cause of the damage will be taken into account. I would suggest contacting "Simplehuman" direct. The 'phone number is 01491 875 974. I hope this answer is helpful.
