Professional Unit - Works Brilliantly
This worked exactly as I hoped. When I put lead on damp cloth it did not alert. But when in a very shallow pool of water in a saucer it did. Alarm worked, email sent and phone app alerted. You can switch off alarm from app. You also get a second email / app alert when leak resolved.Easy to setup. No additonal components i.e. just connects to your wifi router. A very professional product.

Flexible leak detectors
I have 4 of these units with long cable Sensors, all have been working well for about a year now,Provides temperature & humidity alerts up to 3 times a day. And instant leak alerts.I did test them to see how well the extension cable worked and how little water they detect, all work as expected with 5m of extension,The app is a little tricky to use but once you have set one up the rest is easier.Works only with 2.4gb WiFi connection and does on occasions drop off the network and give you a warning. You can mange as many devises as you like from one app. On iPhone in my case. One useful feature that might save money on adding more devises -What I have done is locate as many fix cables Sensors around the site being monitored and just move the device to different location as need.

The user setup app is Unuseable
This needs the Honeywell Home Android app to manage it.That app is crap and UNuser freindly. The app will not let you back up and change an entry which you got wrong due to the Germanic Thinking and Language used. The actual hardware may be good, but I have repeatedly failed to get the setup to work. Its significant to say here that I am a numerate graduate and a bit of a geek; still failed to get it working.

App issues resolved in the end.
Expensive for what it is, but it looks neat and robust when installed. I wasted an hour of my life trying to connect it to the Resideo app on apple iOS 16 Everything seemed to work but the app found two identical detectors but then ‘connection lost’ whichever one I selected. When looking for help I was lucky to read online that you can sync it with an older I phone then your new phone will find it no problem. I got an old I phone 5c running a really old iOS, set up WiFi on it, then downloaded Resideo, it found the detector and synced straight away. Then my i-phone 13 pro found it no problem, everything now works. It’s not great that you have to do this but I guess these corporates don’t always support each others tech like you think they will. Gutted for you if you returned this for this type of error there should be info on this in the box..

Hardly a Watertight Solution
Within 6 months or so of moving into our new home, we’d found both toilets leaking (which this wouldn’t have been any help with) and had a worry about a leak somewhere in the kitchen from the bathroom waste pipe. I hoped that this would be just what we needed to identify any leak, but unfortunately it hasn’t proved much use.First of all is set up. You need a smartphone with internet access, so we tried setting this up on my girlfriend’s phone, which she wasn’t entirely keen on. The instructions weren’t very clear and, despite both of us spending a while trying to do this, we didn’t have any luck getting the detector to pair with the account on her phone.Still, the device is some possible use, since it emits a loud beep (like a smoke alarm) when the sensors are in water. This means that you can use it as an audio alert even without a phone, though obviously this will only work if you’re at home with it. I did try poking the wire into various possible problem spots, under the bath and behind/under kitchen cabinets, without any alarm. I hope this means no leak, but I’m not entirely reassured – I don’t think it would have gone off unless the wire actually came into contact with a puddle of water. It’s this that leads me to doubt its usefulness. It might be effective if you have a particular ‘problem area’ that you want monitoring, like a pipe that’s leaked several times in the past. But if you simply want peace of mind, then it seems that you’d need loads of these anywhere that there might possibly be a leak – by every tap, shower, washing machine, radiator, etc, not to mention in the roof. This is why I say it would never have caught our leaking toilets – because we’d never have chosen to leave it in that particular place.A nice idea but, given the difficulty of set up and the fact that it’s unlikely to catch a problem anyway, not something I’d recommend unless you are indeed seeking to monitor a particular problem.

Its ok but room for improvement.
Hmm its ok and can be expanded to cover a large area with additional cable which I have done. So it covers all my “wet” appliances I have just redone my kitchen and wanted a large amount of Smart tech.Downsides are the app, it went from Lyric to Honeywell Home not long after I got set up so had to relearn after migrating too it. The graphs on the app are not very detailed either and more for show. Its battery powered. I was in the position that I was re-modelling my house so could put cables in. I did this for both my Ring doorbell and Nest smoke alarm and Thermostat. A mains powered option would have been nice.It only checks in 3 times a day maximum which means there can be a delay from a leak forming to being notified. The back of the device is a rubber material and fastens on a single screw. The rubber makes it droop and its easy to knock off the device. Two screws would have been better. This is the only leak detector on the market so kind if got a monopoly.

Very happy with the product
Very happy with the product, easy to set up and very useful.I am keeping an eye on the humidity as well and its overall a top quality product, I will buy 2 more to put in other areas in my house for peace of mind.

Honeywell high quality — works well
Works well. Solid construction typical of Honeywell.Setup was a bit of a pain. It would not work on WiFi channel 13 so I had to reconfigure my router. Possibly this is because Honeywell are a US company and channel 13 is not used in the US. I had a similar issue with another Honeywell device which Honeywell took care of with a firmware update.Anyway, if your WiFi router is a mystery to you and it is just set up as it came out of the box, you should be just fine and have no problems.
