Great lock and chain and very very heavy.

Awesome heavyweight 12mm square chain, padlock loooks & feels the part with an odd shaped key, it's also on an insurance list for motorcycle security! Will recommend.

Use it to lock up my motorcycle at home, is quite heavy (wouldn't want to carry it in a backpack while riding) but feels very sturdy and the links are nice and thick which will surely help if someone were to attempt to cut through. Lock is nice and easy to use and doesn't feel cheap and comes with plenty of spare keys which is great.Would recommend a longer length (this is 1.5 metres), something like 2-2.5 for easier locking or if you plan to take the chain and lock the bike in public at all.

Bought chain and lock to secure 2 x e bikes (Gold Secure for Insurance) to bike carrier and posts. Amazon description indicates weight as 2kg but when received it weighs 5kg. Unable to use because if used on bike carrier, it would push weight over maximum amount for bike carrier. Disappointed because it is a quality item and looks very secure. Reluctantly had to return !

Just arrived. A very very sturdy lock. This will totally stop opportunist or amateur thieves. You would need a good heavy pair of bolt cutters to get through it.Regarding the difficulty with the padlock - note the other reviews - you need to put one end of the chain through the other end and then just put the lock through the single end link, not through both end links - it then closes and opens easily.Nothing will stop a pro thief but this is a very good lock for a very good price hence 5 stars. Note - it is not easily transportable so you need to be aware of that!

Ive had one of these monster lock and chains for over 8 years, have lasted me very well and done the job. My other lock was so rusty inside and grit over many years and my fault for not poutting the sliding lock protector over the keyhole all the time to do its job by stopping water and stuff getting into the keyhole. Anyway, the other day it took me a few mins to get my jammed monster lock out of the chains, so I wanted to get a new lock, nothing wrong with the chain. The price of a replacement lock is a bit more than getting a new lock and chain !! So I purchased the new lock and chain and will use the other one as a spare for locking my ladders up behind the shed with a much smaller waterproof lock. My fault for abusing the first Monster lock but even after not looking after it, 8 years is a good time to get a replacemtn, and of course it it insurance approved for your security of your bike.

This chain is brilliant, very strong and sturdy, the padlock looks to be tough and easy to use, locks and unlocks great unlike some padlocks i have purchased
