The best hamster cage available
This is a great product. Above all it provides a good amount of space for the hamster, which is a priority. It has a bigger floor area than the vast majority of cages on the market. It is easy enough to assemble for my 12 year old daughter to do it. Cleaning is easy and, although some people have criticised the base as being insufficiently sturdy, it is perfectly strong enough for the job and it is light and easy to clean.I was sceptical about the wooden shelf and whether it would be easy to clean, but so far it has cleaned up really well and is a nice surface for the hamster. The house and wheel provided are too small for a Syrian hamster (note to manufacturer: dont include the house, but provide a good 8inch wheel). We replaced the wheel with a larger one and Fudge, the hamster, happily made his bed under the shelf, saving floor space and need for a house. The roof is hinged, so it is easy to lift your hamster out and put him or her back, but the clever design makes it hard for the hamster to escape even with the lid up.We purchased a couple of tubes and suspended these with plastic ties from the bars (see picture) to add interest to the cage for Fudge, but that's all. I consider this as one of the best hamster cages we have had (and we have had lots of them) and, as you can see, Fudge likes it too!

Lovely looking, great size for syrian hamster
I looked at soo many cages before I chose this one. I am really happy with it for Egon my Syrian hamster. It is a great size for him, plenty of floor space and general space galore. I was attracted to the fact it was nice and neutral looking and not a garish colour like some. Super easy to put together and once together nice and sturdy. The base has some depth for bedding and enough room for a flying saucer wheel which I really wanted to add (30cm so takes some space up!) I love the wooden shelves, I do have a concern of them over time so I have personally laid some tiles on them in main eating areas etc. He can easily use the ladders and navigate the cage. There is so much room to change and add (his cage will evolve over time for sure)If I wanted to be fussy I could say I'd like larger front access door but it has what it states it has and works for the purpose. It has the top access for cleaning and taking bits of to clean. I did have to bend the latch slightly but such a tiny job, just made it a bit tougher to open as was a bit loose. To clean I just pop whole top off which is easy enough to do.I would give 4.5 stars if I could only as I wasn't impressed by the wheels supplied and house as they were small. The house is perfect for a dwarf hamster but wheels even too small for them in my opinion. I would rather pay slightly less and not have them added :) but I did buy for the cage not the accessories!Delivery was great and product packaged well and complete. Overall super happy and would recommend :)

Decent Sized Cage
This is a decent sized cage and my Dwarf Hamster seems to be happy with it.The one issue is that my cage turned up with a broken clip and I canāt seem to contact the seller about a replacement so Iāll have to make do.Putting it together wasnāt too bad, though instructions could have been a little better as some people may struggle. The one thing Iād suggest is checking the plastic corner beams for plastic shavings. Mine had a lot of shavings so make sure to wash and inspect them before putting together to avoid your pet eating any of these.Overall Iād say this is decent value for money and is quite sturdy.

Would absolutely not recommend this cage! (badly designed and unsafe)
Got this cage to house 2 baby rats for a while till they could be introduces to our other rats in a bigger cage. While the cage size if good, it is horribly designed, and very bad quality! As there is only the 3 tiny doors on the front it is very had to access and handle the rats, let alone try to spotclean. The platforms are made from cheap plywood, so they absorb pee and food spills staining the platforms and making them hard to clean. The top gate does make it easy to access the top platform, but is useless if trying to access anything but the top platform. (and most rodent really dont like you hovering over them so it is very bad when you are trying to bond with a nervous baby rat)On top of we even had to use plastic strips to lock some of the side doors, as a 250g rat jumping onto and climbing the wall could call the door to jump open!If you are considering getting this case DONT!I would recommend a Critter Nation 161 (we have one with and it is roughly the same size, but with much better big front opening doors, it is around 60Ā£ more expensive but 100 times better cage, both for you and for your little furry friend!)
