Only used this 3 times. I did have another Salter, similar design, but had screws in to change the plate over, however it didn't come with extra plates. The issue was that the coating pulled away. It was used 3-4 times a week for 6 months. I am hoping this different mobile works slightly better. It has got deep inserts for more fillings in the sandwich and is working quicker than the other model I had. Fingers crossed this one lasts longer.

What a great purchase! I was going to buy a cheaper one but this one caught my eye. I am glad I bought this sandwich press, it's larger than most of the cheap ones meaning I can use normal size English bread and it doesn't stick out of the machine. It can fit sandwiches that are fully packed with stuff. It's easy to separate the triangles. You can tell it's a good quality item. It heats up pretty fast and it has light indicators when the food is ready. Don't buy rubbish, buy this instead!

After only 18 months of relatively infrequent use, the non-stick coating has become badly peeled resulting in bread sticking to the plates like glue and rendering this machine completely incapable of making a toastie and therefore functionless. Photographs taken on its way to the bin. Very disappointing. Avoid!
