So far so good!
So far its working well. I had a locksmith professionally install it for our outside storage cupboard. Now I use it frequently together with my ring doorbell to unlock the cupboard remotely to allow delivery couriers to drop the parcels directly into our cupboard whilst we are at work. The new yale app is 10x better than the old one so its easier to navigate to quickly unlock it.

Beware of clutch failure.
Bought this to replace the older model which stopped working after 5 years - ‘clutch failure’.I connected this new one up before installing but it wasn’t locking and kept flashing odd numbers. Called Yale support and I was told it needed to be installed for it to work! So I took the old one out and installed the new one, still flashing odd numbers and won’t lock.Called Yale again and was told it’s ‘clutch failure’. Two clutch failures! So returning this and will look at a mechanical lock from now on.

NOT AS ADVERTISED. Absolute waste if you do not have Samsung Smart Things Hub.
Amazon promotes this item as "Works with Alexa" when you chose the option with the z-wave module. (I bought the yale module combo and the z-wave module separately as that worked out cheaper!), but after installation didn't manage it to register with my z-wave home automation controller (Fibaro HC2). Then fount it works only with the Samsung Smart Things Hub, not with any standard z-wave hub/controller. Now I have a not-so-smart lock as I cannot control it through Alexa, or Fibaro and cannot return it as that will leave my door with extra holes!

Very Good
A little confusing and required significant modification to work but it did work in the end I was impressed even if it goes flat there are terminals for a 9v battery

Be careful of the ribbon
Does the job; be warned that if you "kink" the ribbon, it will massively affect the battery life and operation. At first, I thought it was faulty, but after a phone call was to check the ribbon and sure enough there was a kink - I smoothed it out, and ever since then it has worked great.

Great keyless lock
Great lock and fantastic when you need to give temporary access to a workman or a friend. It also looks fantastic and works well with the tags and card.

It keeps people out ... so far!!!
Bought for son. He’s put it together and it works. Great idea too! Note, to actually put it on the door you need two other parts, so it does work out a little expensive for a door lock, but if you’re into gadgets I suppose it doesn’t matter! Thank you.

DO NOT BUY!!!
Do not buy this product. I have had this lock on my front door for over 6 months, the clutch mechanism that opens the lock began sticking quite soon after installation meaning the door was always operable from the outside and anyone could walk in. Yale advise that the bar needed to be reduced in length below the measurement advertised in the installation instructions booklet. The lock then worked ok for a month before the problem came back intermittently. Then one day the clutch just stopped working all together meaning you are completely locked out with no way of accessing the property. This is when the nightmare begins with Yale customer services. You will spend ages on hold only to have your calls answered by a seperate company who just log your details and tell you that someone from Yale will ring you back. They don't call you back.I manged to get through to a person at Yale who organised for a locksmith to come out and no one turned up.I called them the next morning to be told they had made a mistake and not even organised the lock smith. They assured me that they would call me back within 10 minutes to confirm an appointment for later that day and that someone would definitely be out to replace the smart lock with a new one. Surprise surprise no call back from Yale at all.A lock smith turned up at my property that evening and removed the faulty smartlock and just fitted a blanking plate and and normal cylinder lock in its place. He didn't replace the smart lock with a new one as promised and I still haven't heard anything from Yale dispite my calls and emails. You can email Yale directly but again your emails will be ignored. This is truly the worst customer service I have ever had.
