I put these in a custom dress and they worked WONDERFULLY. however, they are STEEL and so hard to cut. I ordered some wire cutters and they did not cut it. I had to improvise. These are a great product for corsets, but again, make sure you have the right tool to cut them to size, or order the exact length.

These worked perfectly for the corset in a prom dress. Easy to trim to size, stable, and solid support. Good value for price, quality product.

The end caps are very challenging to crimp nicely so they stay on. Internet research told me that there’s a special tool that does it perfectly, but that it’s possible to do the crimping with two pairs of pliers. Let’s just say that there’s quite a learning curve on the technique. Glad that I got plenty extra for my project. Also, really can’t reuse the ends, so keep that in mind when calculating what you need.They can’t be cut with tin snips, have to use wire cutters to avoid mangling the cuts. Remember to wear eye protection.Besides all that, these are great for corsets, since they feel good in terms of giving structure while still allowing for the body to move. If you’re looking for comfort, this is for you. They’re also high quality (which is reflected in the price compared to synthetic whalebone) and I’m looking forward to using them for future projects.

Used wire cutters to break into the correct length. Doesn’t come with 24 extra caps, but can just use masking tape to cover the ends instead.
