My daughter has CHF and has been put on a low sodium diet.For a family who already eats and cooks using very little salt, finding new ways to reduce our sodium intake is a challenge.Coconut aminos is a huge help and this particular brand, has the lowest sodium content than any others I've found.The taste is fantastic and almost indistinguishable from soy sauce. I say almost, because this pulls to the sweeter side vs the definite salty taste of soy sauce.For us, it's pretty much indistinguishable because in general, the recipes we use that call for soy sauce (teriyaki, korean kal-bi, sesame salad dressing), all also call for sugar anyway.The only time we definitely notice a difference, is with sushi. Even then, it is not at all unpleasant to get a touch of sweetness with a bite of sushi, especially if you also enjoy a dab of wasabi in every bite too.Based on some negative reviews that mention mold, I purposely purchased these 4 small bottles instead of the large gallon size. One bottle has lasted me over a month in the refrig now, and it shows no signs of mold or degradation.There are several aminos options, and previous to purchasing this Coconut Secret brand through Amazon, I bought the Big Tree Farms brand at Safeway. The taste of both the Big Tree Farms and Coconut Secret are comparable. I’m completely addicted! It’s a bit sweet and a bit savory/salty, and a great replacement to dip sushi into, for those that aren’t allowed a lot of salt or any soy. It’s also wonderful in salad dressings, mixed with ginger, coconut nectar(or maple syrup), Gomasio, rice vinegar, lime or orange juice. The options are endless!I’m a vegan who eats mostly whole foods, and this sauce is a lifesaver when one has to throw something delicious together quickly. I purchase two of the 16 oz bottles at a time, because I’m not a happy camper when I’ve run out. Purchasing the gallon size and sharing it with a neighbor seems like a great solution! 🙌👩‍🍳

Yes, it's true, you can still enjoy Chinese food if you have a soy or wheat allergy! We've been using this blend of aminos for about a year and half now as a substitute. This size of bottle seems to work the best - we tried ordering it in a giant jug, but you get all kinds of crud and mystery stuff at the bottom that is a bit of a turn off, even if you finish the jug in less than a month and keep it refrigerated. These bottles are economical and you don't get the crud.You should be aware that a large portion of the taste from soy or tamari sauce is salt. You'll need to compensate by adding extra salt to your Asian dishes when you use this!

I’m a foodie and I’m half Polynesian and I enjoy rice dishes, plain rice, sushi, fish, seafood and even Spam Musubi and in the past I usually reached for a shoyu or soy sauce, but honestly most were high in sodium and or sugar, so I searched and searched for an alternative and that is how I came across this Coconut Aminos and I’m glad I did I totally found a replacement for those higher in sugar and sodium products and at least to me tastes even better as well!Coconut Secret The Original Amino 2 Piece Soy-Free Seasoning Sauce, 16.9 Ounce

The large twin pack is cheaper than buying small bottles in store, if you can even find it. Bummed the Safeway in my area doesn't carry it. This stuff tastes great, and it's perfect for those who can't have soy, or are just avoiding soy for whatever reason. I've cooked with it and had it raw over rice, and as a dipping sauce for sushi. I'm a soy sauce lover, so this is a great alternative. Been using it for about ...I guess 1 1/2 years now. Yum Yum!

I initially gave this product / seller one star because the description was mislabeled. Instead of two 16.9 fl oz bottles I received two 8 fl oz bottles. Based on reviews several other buyers seem to have also experienced this issue. I reached out to the seller who acknowledged the mistake. Although they were currently out of stock of the larger bottles, they issued a partial refund, which I felt was fair. As for the product itself, I love it. It's a coconut-based soy sauce substitute, so don't expect it to taste exactly like soy sauce. Still, I use it for sushi (sometimes cheat by adding a little low sodium soy as well), stir fry and other Asian-inspired meals.

I love this product because it is as close as I can get to soy sauce without the soy, gluten or high sodium content.I also was impressed with the way the seller packaged and shipped the product. The glass bottles were well protected and there was no leakage or breakage. Well done!

I've been using this product for years as a replacement for soy sauce. It adds a nice flavor to dishes. Amazon has the best price for tne larger size bottle, which is also very hard to find locally for me. The bottles arrive very well wrapped to prevent breakage during shipment. I will definitely buy again.
