Very sturdy set
These are very well built and does an excellent job of cutting threads in metals. The case is metal and solidly built to. Very impressed with the price of these.Highly recommend.

Perfect tool
Bough these for I needed a M4 die for a project I'm working at the moment... I was extremely surprised of the quality of these tools. German quality!!!!.... sturdy and very precise.... each dies comes in a set of three...one to roughly shape the thread, the second one to make the thread and the third one to finalised the thread making the newly made thread pristine!.... it also comes in a real metal and sturdy box....great value for money!!!...must recommend!

User friendly but ....
I bought this set to help with the renovation of an old Honda cub & thus far it has worked well. One minor disappointment - the dies look like they are the split type from the illustration, but they are not. This only matters if you are intending to cut a 'virgin' thread from round bar, as it is not possible to make progressive cuts, as with split dies. That said, you do get three progressive taps in each size & thus far, they have performed well. The metal case is robust & keeps things nicely in place. All in all, not bad for a German manufactured product at the price.

Good
Excellent small starter set for your tool kit.Seem reasonable quality for the price, only used a couple to clean threads of bolts and done a good job.

Quality product
I have used cheaper sets in the past where you try to tap a hole but it spins round in the tool. This set grips well under torque and does not slip and I have used both the largest and smallest with no problems. I have used the three different sizes making easy work of the thickest of metals. I have used the dye set equally with no problem with the five points of contact also make easy work cutting threads.

Not great
The first problem is the box, the dies don't sit well in their holders when the lid is shut so once closed it's tricky to reopen as the dies jam the lid then once open you have to put them all back in their useless holders - gets tediousThe adjusting handle on the tap holder loosens really easily and during cutting threads can put you off true.I have snapped a number 6 tap and don't feel I used excessive force tapping into brass but that's possibly debatable. The screwdriver is unnecessary as anyone that's buying a T&D set will probably have a better quality one in their toolbox. I'm not confident that the pitch gauge is that accurate, but I did manage to use it to find out that this is a 1.25 set which I think should have been made clear in the write up. Probably not 40 quids worth tbh .

thread cutting
first time i have ever used one have used e10 e6 e4 and e5 a lot I need this as had to make a few thread, use a cutting oil every time, I read reviews before buying can't understand people complaining about the dies fulling out of were they go there are all labelled so whats the problem you could easily squeeze metal to close them up a bit

not as strong as it should be for the money consider it a budget tool
nice tap set has issues with strength while using the set properly on a 4mm tap the set broke in the hole using fair pressure while making the thread properly causing me hours of work removing it for a better set spend much more , i would say this is a hobbyist set and in no way a profesional strength tap n die set
