Verbatim49065 64GB Pinstripe USB Drive - Black

Before making a purchase , I had read some of feedbacks ( positive and negative ones ) from other reviewers , then I thought I can give it a go as this is just a cheap flash drive which doesn’t break the bank if something goes wrong with , so I bought 2 of it from the retailer HDEW Extra ( the seller sent me those memory sticks in their original sealed boxes, also the provided delivery service was good -happy with ) and after a few days my package arrived and then I tried to test it … well … as an USB 2.0 flash drive , its speed is good enough for a home user who doesn’t want to use it a lot ( neither want to use it as a primary storage for his IT work ) , I have downloaded about 3GB of MP3 musics files in 7 minutes and 14GB of different folders and files with different formats in 35 minutes so the speed is different whenever you want to download files with different formats , also the actual usable memory size of this flash drive is about 14.4GB , much lower of what has been advertised for , because the actual memory size of an USB flash drive is always marginally less than advertised regardless of the overall storage of the device and that was been a common problem with any flash drive I had bought before ! so in my opinion :The good :• it is a well-designed tough flash drive• there is no bloatware or any junkware file stored in it• it worked right away on my desktop without facing any problem, delay or freezing issues• it is cheap• if you can plug it into a USB 3.0 port , it works with a much better speed and result while it is just an USB 2.0 pen driveThe bad :• this mini flash drive is not equipped with an LED light that indicates the status of your device when it is in use !Do not buy it if :• you are looking for a high-speed USB pen drive transfer speeds specially if you want to use it in a business environment which time is really precious !• you wan to use it a lot and continually as your main storage connected to your digital machine• you want to have a USB 3.0 pen drive on your PC as this old model USB 2.0 memory stick is only capable of processing data in a single direction at a time so you wouldn’t get much high transfer speed from !hope my review could help you before you make up your mind to make a purchaseGod bless

I WENT AND BOUGHT 2 OF THESE EVEN THOUGH THERE IS MIXED REVIEWS ABOUT THE PRODUCT. I HAVE BOUGHT SOME UNBRANDED 32GB STICKS AND I HAVE TO RETURN THEM AS I HAVE PROBLEMS.THESE ARE A GENUINE PRODUCT AND COME WITH A 2 YEAR WARRANTY. YES THEY ARENT FAST BUT THEY ARE GREAT FOR MP3S IN YOUR CAR OR STORING LOTS OF DOCUMENTS ETC. IF YOU WANT SOMETHING TRANSFERRINGIN SECONDS THEN SPEND DOUBLE THE PRICE ON ONE. I LIKE THE DESIGN TOO HOW THE USB CONNECTOR CLOSES IN ON ITSELF FOR PROTECTION AND ITS QUITE A SMALL STICK TOO COMPARED TO OTHERS I HAVE HAD.ID CERTINALY BUY MORE OF THESE IF NEEDED!IM USING WINDOWS XP AND HAD NO ISSUES MENTIONED BY THE OTHER BUYERS USING VISTA OR 7.

My mother purchased me this USB Pen Drive a few years back as a Christmas Present. I still have this USB Drive as my main USB nowadays, and has not once let me down. The way you cover the USB Male Connector is easy to close and open with no force necessary. It keeps the contacts nice and clean with no effort needed.The small attatchment at the lower end of the USB Stick did however let me down a little bit, but I think it was down to a mistake on my part, but this isnt the reason to which why I have down-rated my rating for this USB Stick. The reason I have took away 1 star from this quite decent USB Stick is the fact it can and commonly does lack in the speed department. And no, it is not a RAM issue as I have 24GB worth of it and I have even tried transferring to an SSD, but the speed from the read/write for files is too slow for my liking. For some, for pictures and videos for example, it works well. I have only just recieved this stick and it was to replace my lost verbatim stick (16gb) that worked well too, But this one seems to be a bit faster it worked straight away and the first thing i did was run a test to get the speedsRead speed = 18mbWrite = 10mbI am quite happy with those speeds as after the testing i just added 30gb of stuff and just left it transfering in the background and when i had finished some other stuff i checked and it had finished (didn't time it though) and i then moved stuff to another computer and had no problems also added some video files and plugged it into my smart tv and i could access the files and they played with no problemsBuild quality is fair it will last if you look after it like the last one did! It is an ok size not too big or too small (Even though i lost last one that was same size) it has a small hole so you can attach to a keyring/strap etc but you will need to find the fixings yourself i will be fitting this to my keys as stated lost my last one which was just loose in my pocket!Would recommend this stick and will report back if i encounter any problems

I've used Verbatim storage devices for years and have never had a problem with them. Hence, my latest purchase.

I needed a USB that was durable, so I can have more safe backups and transfer my files over to the mac family computer. This works well and so far is durable. Easy to use, just plug it into USB port. I needed it this size for the amount of files I have and this is truthful GB size.Not terrible value compared to some USBs this size - they are a rip off, this price was ok.

Good quality musical reproduction but it does not store as much music as I anticipated ( ie about 120 CDs)
