This part fit well without any adjustments to this part. however you may need adjust the recoil spring cap.,

Even tho the product itself was very well manufactured, it does not say anywhere that you might have to purchase a new smaller spring plug. I almost retired the item. Decided ti order a new spring plug and wait another week before I could put this on my 1911.
