This is a really good piece of kit. Powered by 3 X AA type 1.5 Volt batteries, it has both an audible & visual indication of continuity depending on which terminals you use for testing. The visual is a super bright LED which also doubles as a useful torch with a switch on the side of the unit. The unit responds quickly to a short circuit being applied to the terminals which is not always the case with some multimeters on continuity test. The conditions are 0-20ohms for visual indication & 0-250ohms for audible. Also there is a non-contact LED which is useful for tracing AC mains.(There is a fold out wire "antenna" which makes such readings a bit more precise. Additionally, the unit, although intended for powered down contact/continuity tests, claims it is protected from external voltages up to 300volts AC/DC for a maximum of 30 seconds. I've not tested this yet but note that there is a 3rd LED on the unit which seems to warn when this occurs. My only slight disappointment is that the 3 input terminals appear in the picture to be the type that take both the usual 4mm test leads (which they do) & have the possibility of tightening them onto bare wires too (which they do not) Overall very pleased with just the one slight reservation.
