Hmmm no hoodie pics. Is this ANOTHER slicker where the hoodie falls down over the top and into your eyes?

A great question, and the answer is "Yes". If I want to see, I have to shove the hood back constantly. I can't imagine such a good company selling such an ineffective hood.

I go between an XL and XXL - ordered the XXL - slightly baggy around the middle but great for layering and just right in the sleeve length. A winner.

Does the coat have a double zipper?

No. There is one conventional zipper.
