Q: Is the lid supposed to be able to screw on tightly or should it be rather loose? I baught two of these and neither one the lid screws on tightly??

Mine screwed down tightly as that is the fill point for the ice packs

Q: Do they create condensation when left in a lunch box all day?

I use mine in a cooler in my vehicle all day. They keep drinks and my lunch very cold all day. I have never needed to wipe moisture from them before refreezing. Or have any noticeable moisture to wipe out my cooler. My cooler normally stays room temperature all day. And not out in the sun and back to room temperature.

Q: Does your thin ice packs last as long as as the thick version if I'm using the same net weight in my cooler?

In general, the thinner ice packs will have a tendency to dissipate heat the fastest, and not last as long. This is simply because there is more surface area that is being exposed. With lower surface area products, the "mass" is more protected by itself, and thus in theory will last longer... with everything being equal. The biggest impact, however, will be how well your cooler is insulated. I hope this helps!
