First things first, this is NOT a gimmick, this thing ACTUALLY works!And to be fair to the Marcato RT-RSO Ravioli Tablet, it works VERY well. I was, like most people skeptical at first, but upon first usage, i quickly realised that my money had been well spent. The process of making ravioli is simple as long as you follow the instructions.Personally, i used semolina to coat the tablet prior to laying down my first strip of pasta. The semolina ensures that the first pasta sheet does not stick to the tablet. Follow the included instructions regarding the rest of the process and in less than 5 minutes, you have 10 perfectly made ravioli parcels.The tablet is made from a billet of aluminium, the 10 off ravioli cups are polished aluminium embedded within the red billet. The clear removable serrated cutting device is the only thing likely to break or dull. The included rolling pin is robust, perfectly weighted and more than capable of cutting your pasta sheets assuming they are thin enough for ravioli.For those using the Marcato Atlas machine, ravioli pasta should be rolled to number 6 on the dial.
