OMG.... Yes that good. Fantastic for Jaz, Blues and probably anything in-between. Well made.
For reference I got the golden set.Don't let the price fool you. Yes these sound that good. 63.99 at the time of writing and found these fantastic for studio, Jazz and Blues use. My kids bang on them for rock and that is fine too. We usually use a complete set of Zildjians ZBTs (I know, I know, not much of an upgrade, but please understand we play at home), and though they sound great, they are not for small spaces. These are obviously for quiet use, but can easily be used for small venues, recording, and home. In fact even though these are for quiet use, that doesn't mean they are totally quiet. I don't know about using them in a classic NYC apartment, where you can hear the neighbor's alarm clock or electric toothbrush through the walls (yes I lived there, long live Chelsea!). If your planning on a big venue then just mic them, in a pinch.Comes with a really nice thick bag that comes with a removable split liner to protect each cymbal. Comes with a complete set of cymbal felts, and just with those two (bag and felt) it is worth the asking price. In fact you throw in the cymbals and now that is a smokin' deal. The cymbals includes 14" Hi-hats (both top and bottom), 16" crash, 18' crash, 20" ride. Each cymbal is smooth edge to edge, meaning the center holes and the outer diameter. Each small hole is good with no blemishes, or protruding flanges or sharp edges from visual inspection. All of the cymbals are free from manufacturing defects.Set includes:- Bag with removable liner.- 12 piece felt set.- 14" Hi-hats (both top and bottom)- 16" crash- 18' crash- 20" rideOnly thing missing in this set is a bell, a 10", and a trash cymbal, but that would bring the price point up, and being that the latter 3 are smaller, it would be much louder. I don't even think a quiet bell, or trash cymbal really exist.Comes well packed in a thick cardboard shipping box. Nothing damaged and all the cymbals are nicely finished and labeled. Each cymbal comes in it's own clear plastic bag, and then inserted into the carrying bag.

Great cymbals to get!
I'm not sure what 60% is supposed to sound like but these do the job when it comes to a softer volume but still having the cymbals/metallic sound. When using it, it doesn't sound muffled or anything like that. I'd say it probably has a higher frequency to it, but still softer. I absolutely love the blue color of it as it seems quite unique.

These things are awesome!!! Every cymbal sounds great! I talked my Church into getting these and the drummers like them very much.

Definitely Worth It- Just Not Low (Enough) Volume
Compared to pricier practice cymbals, these are not bad. Definitely durable and cost-effective. That said, they are a tad heavy and project a bit (more than I thought they would). They are lower frequency so the sound travels further (sound does not abate that fast). Still high enough pitch to pierce, too. They definitely cut decibels, but If you are REALLY in need of low/lower volume, maybe consider a more expensive, rather ubiquitous brand ending in the number 80. If you are looking to simply reduce volume by maybe 40% (if that 40% equates to a decibel reduction over standard acoustic cymbals played consistently e.g. moderate, rock groove with crashes/ride @ 100-125 dB), you'll probably end up in the 90-95 +/- dB range with these. The other brand might drop that level by 10+ dB (hence the 80 in the name, it's about the decibel level you can expect when playing those 'normally'). With thinner construction, higher frequency, the sound produced by the 80s attenuates/gets out of the way pretty fast, overall). 80 dB is about equivalent in sound to an old Eureka vacuum. 90-95 dB, however, is like a super-charged Eureka vacuum with it's unfiltered motor volume on 11. Sound tends to stick around a while longer. Ive played both these practice cymbals and the other brand's cymbals dynamically, and laying into them at night, in a sunken side room with poofy carpet and thick walls and still gotten told to knock it off. In short, no low volume variant will be ok in a home with others (esp at night) unless you have your own wing -- decidedly not ok for an apartment, condo, or townhome at night unless you're living in a sound-proof studio. Regardless, there really are no true 'low volume' cymbals- just lower in volume compared to standard acoustic. Even tapping away on rubber e-kit cymbals or rubberized/foam cymbal mutes will garner 15-20 dB. If you are in an apartment/condo situation living over someone, even the e-kits can result in visits from angry peeps in the evening hours when they are trying to watch Jeopardy! In peace (15-30 dB mod and even high-frequency waveforms are deft at penetrating thin walls and floors in condos). So, apologies for the long-winded review here. What 'low volume' set to go with really boils down to personal situation/preference, residence considerations, budget, your playing style, capacity for material durability - and assessed tolerance of the likely non-drummers around you (and their tempers if you happen to interfere with their avid evening game show watching or other nightly normaloid activities). If noise reduction really isn't *that big* of an issue, go with these. Good for the $$. If you think you need even lower volume, probably look elsewhere or better yet, if feasible, rent studio space!

They sound surprisingly good! Really nice bag too!
The feel is obviously a hair lighter than standard cymbals, but the volume is dramatically reduced. (Who knew?!)The hats have a really crispy, tight 'chick' and they open up really well. The hats are probably my favorite part, but you can feel how much lighter they are when tapping on the pedal.Ride is pretty washy, of course. It doesn't have a lot of 'ping' when riding on it, but you can still articulate on the bell pretty well if you hit it hard enough.Crashes are complimentary to each other and have a nice balance in tones, the 18" crash is by far the loudest in the whole set.The cymbal bag is great! It has a sleeve inside to completely cover the crashes and hats, not like other cymbals bags that only cover the lower half, that was a pleasant surprise. It feels great to play on these, but I'll have to see how long they last once I get more comfortable banging on them. They only get so loud, so no need to slam into them, but I play with 2BN sticks. If you use 5B or 7A sticks I doubt you could do any damage to them and they'll probably be even quieter.Very happy with the purchase.
