It is heavy and weighted but not to hot. Literally I can not explain it, it is the best blanket I have ever owned.

Wow!!!! This blanket is AMAZING!!!!! It’s sooo thick and comfortable. I absolutely love how heavy it is too (I put it on my back and felt like a Viking lol). PLUS it’s made in America which is even better!!!

Bought this as a birthday gift for my wife. I opened the box for her and pulled out the bag. It comes vacuum sealed, which turned out to be a surprise of its own because once she opened it, her eyes lit up and she smiled from ear to ear. She's been wanting one of these blankets for a while. I wish I video taped her reaction as it was priceless. You can tell right away this is a high quality product and the weight is a nice addition. She said it feels like she's being hugged....ahhh. I must say, I'm impressed by the very reasonable cost as if you biught the material, which was the original plan, it woukd have cost as much, if not more, and never come out like this. The weave pattern is tight and perfect. Very pleased with this and would and will recommend hands down. Now she wants another already for the other couch...haha. I got her the sandstone color for what it's worth and it's made in USA too! I hope this helps another person make the right call. Rest well...
