GSKAIWEN 20x10 feet/6x3 Meters Photo Studio 100 Percent Pure Cotton Collapsible Backdrop Background for Photography, Video and Television (Background Only)

Ordered this because I needed a bigger backdrop for full-body shots in landscape mode. It’s a substantial cotton fabric, but the weight means not having to use a blackout curtain when recording during the day in front of a window,* as I often must. It arrives feeling starched/coated and neatly folded in packaging you can reuse to return it, so don’t rip it open carelessly. Haven’t laundered it yet but I can tell from experience washing it will break down that starch to a billowing texture. This is a quality backdrop I’ll have for a long time. Very professional.EDIT: *Fabric is more see-through than I thought. Sunlight does sneak through, and I do have to double up with a thicker curtain underneath.

Unlike some other suppliers who mail out a faded blue color, this particular muslin is the exact level of blue and saturation to properly key the background out (i.e. - green screen photography). Yes, it's a little more expensive, but you will get the proper color with this. The attached image shows the cheaper version below, and this one at top. Don't waste your time like I did on the cheap versions before I came across this one.

Still needed some additional smoothing out with a steamer and clamps for tightness but worked well for after effects.

The color (when lit) looks great on film. I used this as a chromakey background for a video shoot as a substitute for green-screen. All-in-all, it worked. When I got the background ready, I realized how thin it is. It's really noticeable if backlit. BUT, when I got my lights setup and lit it from the shooting direction, there were no issues at all. The background did not bleed through. Good! We used a Shark steamer to fix the wrinkles. Not a big deal. I'll be using the backdrop again for future color key video projects.NOTE: In the photos, I have 4 video lights on the background at different heights and angles and 2 lights on my subject. Keying wasn't a problem, but more lights might be needed if your subject is doing more action. Everything comes down to lighting.

I use this for self-tape auditions and it works great!
