Coconut Nectar, Raw, Organic
J**N
Lowest GI for a syrup.
While I still use Stevia and Xylitol in some food preparations, this coconut nectar has become my preferred sweetener in many others. I think the price is a little too high, but having tasted other brands of coconut nectar I return to Coconut Secret every time. I hope that it is produced faithfully and is raw and organic. As a diabetic I find the GI index of 35 (the same GI as an apple) very positive. Having used dates and prunes and apple sauce in recipes to replace sugar I find that the taste of the coconut nectar is not as intense in many recipes. Since I drink raw lemon juice in hot water and found the taste of stevia difficult to control I have changed to coconut nectar as it seems to leave no extreme sweetness after taste in my drink. I have had several deliveries from Amazon and the bubble wrap seems to work well as I have had no damaged bottles. I still prefer glass over plastic.

Our favorite sweetener - great for all uses!
Fantastic low glycemic sweetener - very versatile in drinks, on pancakes, to sweeten desserts, to make sauces, baking, cooking and grilling. The flavor is an earthier maple syrup. It is thicker and darker than maple but very versatile.Add it to fruit and yogurt, sweeten lemonade, corn bread, BBQ sauce, salad dressing, caramelized onions, or use it as a substitute for molasses, maple syrup, brown sugar and it adds a wonderful depth of flavor along with the sweetness.

Not what I had expected
This item was listed as a sugar free item, therefore, I expected it to be calorie free and yet in my opinion it was high. It also contained carbohydrates which means it is absolutely not a sugar free item. I was hoping to use this item in place of stevia or truvia but so far it remains unopened in my kitchen for the reasons stated above.

Sweet Coconut Bliss
This nectar taste absolutely wonderful. It's a good buy at $13.75, as you will not be wanting to eat anything this sweet too often. While it has a low glycemic index, I have read it's impact may not be as low as Stevia or Xylitol. But, man is it scrumptious. The taste is similar to a lighter tasting molasses.

Coconut Secret - Raw Coconut Nectar
I got this product due to being on the Whole30 program. Thought I would try it out due to not being able to have any sugars of any kind. Coconut oil, flakes, etc are allowed on this program. So I thought that this is probably allowed also, but in small amounts. I used it for my coffee. The taste is different, but not bad. It has the texture of syrup. It came in the time stated and was packaged appropriately. I recommend this product.

Fabulous
Sweet and flavorful as can be, but with less than 20% Sugars. The rest is Inulin (not Insulin), which is not a carb, so doesn't contribute calories for you, but does fee the microbiota in your tummy. Commercial Stevia tastes like they extract it using gasoline; you can easily grow your own, dry the leaves and powder them, then use it sparingly (it's strong if you use too much!), and there is no aftertaste, for cases where you want ZERO calories. Add Coconut Nectar to your arsenal of Maple Syrup and Stevia for low-calorie sweeteners - you'll get flavor variety, lots of important minerals, and no poisonous chemicals.

Knew about it before, certainly wouldn't rely on amazon for any info. This is good stuff. But not cheap.
They're getting expensive, but it's good stuff. Healthy stuff. If you can replace sugar with this just onecup of coffee a day, I figure that's a great start. I use this every day. We should be doing everything possibleto avoid things like diabetes, and this is a great help.

Good if the shipment arrives without damage
Ive switched to this syrup for my morning lattes. Unfortunately of the 3 bottles that were ordered one was broken and the entire package leaking onto other items. Hence the 3 stars. Ideally they should individually bubble wrap the bottles. Instead it came with 3 bottles in an envelope and the envelope in another box with other ordered items. Better to buy from store instead of Amazon because of this.Flavor wise it does take getting used to. Super sticky consistency but I like it in my lattes now.
