Thank you for your inquiry. No, the Virtually Invisible 791 In-Ceiling Speakers II are compatible with stereo/home-theater receivers that provide 10-100 W per channel, 4-8 ohms. The PM8500 is a professional amplifier intended to be used with much larger speakers. This amplifier provides 4000 W (500 W x 8 channels at 4 ohms) which would over power the 791 speakers. All my Sonos speakers are Bose 791s connected to Sonos amps. Both types, the older connect:amp and the new Amp. Sounds fantastic.

Q: Do these speakers support chain wiring?

I used 10 gauge copper strand wire. I bit excessive though
