Q: I end up with lots of small fragments of butternut squash, not too many fry pieces. What am I doing wrong?

There are three things 1. Grain of butternut squash should be longest fiber of vegetable 2. You may need to firm the vegetable by chilling it in the freezer until firm. Don’t freeze or squash will be mushy texture 3 Is the vegetable big enough for the blade to be optimal for it. This blade works great for firm starchy vegetables. Butternut squash tends to collapse when cooked. You may need to make a batter for frying that will strengthen the vegetable s inherent flaw.
