Yes, you can take it with you whenever you go because it comes in a nice little travel pouch. Sprinkle a little on your front door and front porch to keep hateful neighbors away and you can also take it to work with you and sprinkle a barrier around your workspace. Keep in mind, It's a small package, so it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and buy two. Keep one at home and carry one with you. I even sleep with it under my pillow at night. Use it for whatever you need to do to make you feel safe and protected from mean-spirited people and other beings.

Is this black salt edible?

The salt itself is for protection purposes. I don't use it for edible reason however I don't feel it would be harmful hopefully that helps
