So good!
Absolutely amazing, it was fantastic with poultry and fresh pasta for our Christmas dinner. A taste of France without going there!

These are beautiful mushrooms
In the past, when I have ordered Morel mushrooms from other sources, they have been broken stems and pieces that are not recognizable as Morels. These are just perfect. I now understand the price is due to the higher quality. These retain their distinctive Morel shape and are full of delicious flavor. I used them in my Thanksgiving dressing that contains a lot of different exotic mushrooms. They rehydrated beautifully. I didn’t notice any grit, but I did rinse them quickly prior to soaking them. They were delicious in the stuffing. I look forward to sautéing them and eating with a steak.

Good quality but light flavor
I’ve been wanting to try mushrooms other than the ubiquitous crimini and portobellos at the grocery store. Dry mushrooms are great to have around for last minute cooking. The morels look good with a mix of smaller and larger mushrooms. Booking hot water was added and they were allowed to air for 30 minutes. The mushrooms got larger and spongy. The water didn’t had a strong taste but a hint of mushrooom was there.I chopped up the morels and sautéed them with some chopped spinach in olive oil and butter. I then added some scrambled egg mixture to bring it all together. The mushroom taste is not strong. I was hoping to get more umami flavor. It’s nice quality but for the cost I expect a richer, unique flavor.

Yum
Used the morels two times with a little left over to make quiches. The mushrooms were in really nice shape but with a little bit of grit. Still, really good mushrooms.

Fantastic Fungi!
These are very nice quality dried morels. I am new to dried morels so just tried a few as an experiment. I soaked mine in milk (you can also use broth or hot water) for about 20 minutes until they plumped up. I then sautéed them in a bit of olive oil. Wow! These are really fantastic tasting morels! You get quite a bit in the package -- 2 ounces doesn't sound like much but they are dried and will plump up and weigh more as you soak them before cooking. I love that you can keep them dried in the pantry for up to a year, and use as many or as few as you like. I will definitely be experimenting more, but even my very simple recipe yielded some super delicious mushrooms. The only thing that worried me a bit was the warning label (see photo) that the mushrooms may contain mercury. That is troublesome. However, I often see warnings like this on other foods and products, always connected to the state of California (does that mean you don't get the mercury if you live in another state? haha).I'm basing my rating on my experience of the mushrooms, not the label. For me, it is a solid recommend!
