Most Excellent .5mm gel pens in 20 lovely colors
I will start by saying that my all time favorite clickable gel pens are the Pilot G2 0.7 and 1.0 mm pens. But I can't find a very wide variety of colors in the G2 0.5mm (10-pack is the most I've found so far). So when I saw this selection of 20 colors of Zebra Sarasa Clip Retractable Gel 0.5mm gel pens and saw that they got good reviews, I thought I'd give them a try. Well, I'm VERY happy I did. - The Zebra Sarasa doesn't have QUITE as smooth a writing touch as the .7mm G2's, but with a .5mm tip, I don't expect the pointier contact surface to feel exactly the same. And I don't find the difference in smoothness at all objectionable. My only remaining questions were a) the hues and saturation levels of the Zebra Sarasa Clip Retractable Gel color selection, b) how well the click/clips work, c) how they feel in the fingers when used and d) the ink quality (water-fastness, archival, etc.). I can speak to the first three, and the claims of Zebra say this is archival ink and water resistant, but I haven't had a chance to test that yet. - I've been spoiled (in a good way) by the 36 gorgeous colors of the Pilot G2 .7mm, so my first task with the Zebra Sarasa Clip Retractable Gel .5mm's was a writing and coloring test on some of my favorite papers. The .5mm Sarasas came through VERY well. Totally satisfied. See attached photo. I provided written and color-swatch samples to show both aspects of the ink's visual appearance on paper. - highly reliable clickers and clips are important to folks who use their pens frequently, and I'm finding the Sarasa clicker and clip work just as desired with no complaints. While the clicker design is different from the G2, they work very well on all the shirts and other surfaces I like to clip pens to (notebook spirals, etc.) and the click is both gratifying and stays in place (doesn't un-click like some flakier pens). - there's nothing more annoying than a pen that lays down a great line or color-swatch but feels awful in your fingers. The Sarasa .5mm feels just fine as I use it, with no complaints of any kind, plenty firm, no slipping, and very comfortable. I look forward to taking these pens out of their case every time the occasion arises.

Best pens for journaling
These are my favorite pens for journaling. I have both the vibrant and muted color sets. I love how fine the lines are and the wide range of colors I can choose from. The ink dries pretty quickly. It won't smear unless you try to mess it up intentionally right after your writing. And the ink doesn't bleed for most of the papers.I have ordered these pens multiple times. Sometimes I received a used set. The red seals are missing for some of the pens as shown in the photo. Sometimes the ink flow is inconsistent and the cartridge can tell you why. So please double check your pens to make sure each one is good to use. Although these are good pens, sometimes Amazon can mess up their shipments and send you returned products.

Fine but also fluid
I love these pens so much! They are fine but also bold. Not so fine that they scratch.

Great colors...Not all correct
Love these pens. They write well and are easy on the hands even when you are writing for a long time. However, not all the colors are correct. Some are even the same as the Sarasa clip milky ink. Be prepared to have duplicates of the same pen in the orange and pink colors.

great pens
Love these pens. I do alot of journaling and these are now the only ones I use. The ink flows well, it doesn't run and I love the fine point

If you're picky - these are the ones
I fully recommend these pens. I am extremely picky when it comes to my pens and/or pencils. When the Zebra brand came out years ago, I was all in for them. Then Pilot G2 hit the scene and I have used nothing since. I need a writing device that flows easily, doesn't "glob" up as you're writing/drawing/etc. They need to be smooth. If I pull it off the paper I need to be able to put it back down in that same spot without it being noticeable.I usually use the Pilot G2 .38mm for nearly EVERYTHING. These Zebra pens are a tad larger, but are everything I require. I am not an artist, but to test these out I grabbed a piece of tracing paper, traced out some very difficult lines with a graphite pencil. Tracing these lines wasn't even easy. But to add to the weird texture of tracing paper on top of a graphite pencil I was pleasantly surprised when these pens flowed so smoothly, did not catch on the paper and didn't soak into it.If you're picky like I am or just want a good quality pen, look no further. Try these and I'm sure you will not be disappointed. I believe they even have them in a larger pack with more colors.

Love these pens
These are some of my favorite pens and I was thrilled to find this large pack with so many lovely colors. I had the vintage colors (which don’t appear to be duplicated in this package!) and now I have every color I need. I love they way they feel and write. Zebra makes excellent products (see my review on their midliners) and I am happy that Amazon is carrying them. I use them mostly in my planners and journals, but they certainly could be an everyday pen as well. The flow of the ink is smooth and I don’t find they bleed through most papers at all. I haven’t tried extremely thin paper (such as bible paper), so I can’t say they never do, but I haven’t had an issue. I really like them and I highly recommend this set!
