Good product, great price
Can't believe anyone using a metal lathe wouldn't love these.

Best Aloris alternative!
I believe these Accusize tool holders are the best alternative to the Aloris brand ones. Don't get me wrong, I would love to have strictly Aloris holders, but I am just a hobbyist and only need the best quality I can afford. I have tried several different brands and these are the best as far as fit and finish. They lock up well on my toolpost just like my Travers Tool Company ones. The grinding work on the dovetail is superb. Everything is deburred and chamfered nicely as well. The tapped holes and set screws fit well and are not super sloppy like some off brands. The set screws are 8mm and have a straight dog point reduced tip. This feature is a nice touch too, to keep from damaging the threads of the screw. The screws will take a 4mm or 5/32" sized allen key. These tool holders could easily be used professionally in a machine shop. You can never have too many tool holders and these are perfect for me. I like to leave certain tools set up all the time and ready to go! I even built a nice rack to keep them clean, nice, and handy. Give them a try in your shop.

Well Made
As a home hobbyist machinist I have been very satisfied with the overall fit and finish of the Accusize tool holders and have purchased at least 8 of them. The screws are properly hardened and do not have to be replaced as with some of the bargain priced ones, which makes them less of a bargain.

Good tool holder
First off, it fits my LLDSIMEX tool post perfectly. The four star is that the bottom of the tool channel has a slight radius on the inside corner so the tool body cannot go flush with the back of the slot. This has been standard for years across the OXA market. A similar part purchased a few days later had a slight undercut allowing a flush mount, a significant improvement. One problem with China sourcing is that it is impossible to identify the supply channel factory. For instance from the factory or machine that made the LLDSIMEX parts and a couple of no-name parts from last year are 0.790 +/- 0.002 wide and 1.1015 +/- 0.0005 high. Hard to believe that's two different factories. The Accusize part and the undercut part are 0.788x1.106+/-0.002 so I suspect the same source. If so, the Accusize parts may show up with the desirable undercut. Be careful as there is another source ( 0.755 wide and 1.087 high) that is selling cheaper pairs. They have a 45 degree saw-cut into the channel bottom which appears to substantially weaken the part but more importantly the dovetail is cut too deep and they don't work with my tool post.

Nice Holder
Nice holder. Above average quality for an import.

A 16mm tool fits
I asked Accusize whether a 1616 (16mm square) tool would fit. The answer was discouraging, but I went ahead and ordered one. The 1616 (16mm) tool fits fine. Compared to the Dorian "3/4" holder that I bought for the same tool from another source and had to return for poor workmanship, the Accusize was better made. Set screws turned freely, and maybe even more important, the slot is milled deeper so most of the tool fits in the slot. The Dorian slot was shallow and a lot of the 16mm (5/8") tool hung outside the slot. Actual slot width was about 0.638" (not measured carefully).

Worth it.
I have probably 8 or 9 of these now. I purchased these in addition to the ones that came with my Accusize tool post. For the money on a hobby lathe they are perfect. Cheap enough to have multiples so you’re not having to change out tooling in holders all the time…

Solid steady and just like the OEM
I think this is every bit as good as the original mounts that came with my lathe. Likely even better.Very happy with the purchase- I got it just to have an extra around for semi-precision cutting to save time. I was so surprised to find it works completely as good as the OEM at a fraction of the cost. I am buying a few more to keep many of my cutters ready.
