Updated review: In 2020, after a medical diet, I found out I had “histamine intolerance”. The doctor recommended a probiotic, and after a careful search, this looked like my best choice. This probiotic has worked really well for me, and I’m doing much better; I’m on my 5th bottle. I was advised to at first take small partial doses of my chosen probiotic, and gradually work up to the full dose; I did that, and I had no problems. Also, after just the first partial dose, I got the best sleep I’d had in months, and that benefit continued with each dose. As an added bonus, I felt a more positive mood; I assumed it was because I was getting better sleep, and was feeling better physically. The features that made this probiotic most useful to me were that it contains histamine lowering strains only, and nothing added that could aggravate SIBO, which I may have had. Since it doesn’t have to be refrigerated, I also felt confident of the potency. The price was very reasonable compared to others I researched, and for what it does, it’s worth every penny. I can easily recommend this product; it has helped a lot with my histamine intolerance.

When I was looking to balance my gut flora and kept trying about a dozen different probiotics over many years, I had no earthly idea there were strains specifically designed for improving mood and were also histamine free. I happened to start reading reviews on this product and decided to try my first bottle...I had never heard of the concept of histamine free probiotics although I have tried other formulas specifically for mood that didn't seem to do anything positive for me at all.I started on this formula (I'm now buying bottle #3) a few months ago...and noticed it took abouta month for my mood to feel altered. I realized that when I woke up one day and was NOT in the dumps although my level of anxiety is still not fully under control yet and that explains my 4 stars and not 5...Some other probiotics I tried felt better for my gut than this formula...At first I was constipated on this formula...but slowly my bowels loosened up to where I was almost having diarrhea...It took many weeks for me to feelmore balanced...Perhaps my irritability all along was related to probiotics that aggravated allergies and leftme feeling agitated... and probably didn't help at all because maybe the wrong formula contributed to excessivehistamine production especially during allergy season.This Spring with everyone around me overreacting to their environmental allergens; molds, pollens and grass (I am usually one of those people), I am able to literally breathing outdoor air with zero negative response..And I feel more upbeat...I haven't fully conquered my anxious (but random) moments but that's a whole lot to ask from a probiotic that has at least lifted my spirits.I am trying to eat better and avoid high histamine foods...I am paying attention to my intake of caffeineand sweets...so hopefully, anxiety will lessen and help me balance further...My digestive system is about the sameas it always was....I still deal with slight irritable bowel issues...Some foods are just irritating...but that wouldn't have anything to do with a probiotic...I am purchasing my third bottle after I write this review so that speaks volumes about my satisfaction. Only reason I didn't give this 5 stars is that the bottle says it's for anxiety and I still have quite a bit of anxious moments..Still hopeful though...

This stuff is really powerful. I usually have no reaction to a probiotic, or sometimes a negative reaction, which is not always gastro!Highly recommended to experiment with these products by very gradually taking them and building up a full dose, noting symptoms, and comparing. This one helps my mood, lowers my reactivity to foods. I have constipation now and a bit more joint pain, but I was able to decrease an antidepressant dose by 75% over a couple of weeks! No rebound anxiety, no depression. I tried switching to the bifido blend and felt very different: worse mood, better energy, poor sleep, elevated heart rate.I have tried a lot of probiotics over the years and these are the first to have such strong effects on me.I really wish there were more of these blends because so far, each has a trade off between benefits and side effects. I still have the sbo one to try though!These are so powerful, and a good price for how much you get--I've paid far more for many probiotics that did nothing at all. Your reaction is going to be individual; it might take some patience and experimentation. I initially started with a half pill and that was too much! When I took a tiny bit and built up I was fine. The company is excellent and responsive with communication--Sylvia sent me a different bottle to try when I was first having issues.

Made my histamine worse. Took 1 capsule for 12 days. After 5 days I started getting bloated, dizzy, very itchy, and had insomnia. It also affected my mood negatively.

First off, reviewers that mention these failed the "Milk Test," or "Yogurt Test," - google it. It's a very misleading test and unreliable.This has helped me feel, "lighter," and appreciate the little things in life now. I also noticed I wasn't as hungry as I usually was (craving late night snacks and wine!). My digestion/gastro is on point now.Very happy with this and I hope it will never be discontinued !!
