Frog Growing Kit: Certificate for 2 Free Tadpoles, Large 2-Gallon Habitat, All Supplies Needed

Received the tadpoles today, they are lively and doing well so far. My only complaint is this kit needs more entertainment or places for the tadpoles to go. Will be looking for some river rock or some sort of cave type thing for them.

My daughter got the idea to get some tadpoles after being fascinated by them in one of our local rivers. I ordered it for her bday in August then after receiving the tank and going online to fill out a form to get the tadpoles found out it was too hot for them to send them. They weren’t able to send until November. We followed all of the instructions for caring for the tadpoles and they both died (we were sent 2) within 6 weeks. My daughter cried her head off. I think they died because the tank they send you for them is so uninteresting and small. I think they died of boredom and depression to be honest. They weren’t very active the entire time we had them and didn’t eat much at all. We felt bad just looking at them sitting in the bottom of the tank or floating near the top. This is not a humane way to treat these animals. We won’t be doing it again or recommending it to anyone. Enjoy seeing nature in nature!!! Lesson learned. Much respect Little tadpole dudes. RIP.

Item doesn’t come with tadpoles. You have to mail that in separately to another company.

Both came alive. One lived a couple days, the other a month. Kept at proper temp, fed, and cleaned and treated water as directions said. Might do better in the wild.

Our class has had these little tadpoles since the end of October. It is now March 4th, and they are still tadpoles. There is no sign of them sprouting any legs. I have a heat lamp and also given them brine shrimp flakes for a month now and still no change. The students are getting impatient. Everyday we go look at them waiting for some legs to start growing but are getting very disappointed.

It has been one year and I still only have a tadpole. There is zero sign of progress in its development. One of the two tadpole I received died within days. The replacement died days later. I have been in contact w the company many times for advice and guidance but still no growth. I have spent over $100 on bottled water in this time. MAJOR disappointment to my son. And now I have to figure out how to give it away because I’m tired of waiting and having a tadpole that just sits in one place in a tank all day is not a very exciting pet.

My children and I have been thoroughly enjoying our tadpoles! It's been a great hands-on science activity while sheltering in place! The tank and supplies were well packaged as were the tadpoles who arrived 2 weeks later. The directions are clear and the kit is well-stocked, it comes with everything needed. The tadpoles are vigorous and thriving in their little habitat!

So much fun! I had one as a kid and can’t wait to do this with my kids! The first aquarium arrived broken but we purchased a second one that is fine. Currently planning names for our froggies.
