very nice RC, I'm just getting back into the hobby ...
very nice RC, I'm just getting back into the hobby and it holds up well to various terrains and bashing. I had a weird scenario happen where the rear suspension arm separated from the rear hinge pin but I was easily able to follow the parts diagram in the manual to reset them. This hasn't happened again and I attribute it to a hard bashing session where I was landing the truck on one rear tire from a height of about 24". That aside, which was easy to put back together with no damage, it's a very nice truck.

At the beginning the truck was a wonderful buy. We had so much fun with it
At the beginning the truck was a wonderful buy. We had so much fun with it. It was slower than my Revo Gas truck but it more than paid off with the quiet performance and not have the problems dealing with the engine and spark plugs ... . We loved it for several days until the motor simply stopped. It has NOT done anything it wasn't designed to do. The motor simply stopped. Then we called the company and were pleased that they sent our a new motor which we were enthusiastic about. This new motor ran for 2 days and then stopped as well. There are upgrade brushless motors that you can get but they will cost you around $80 with shipping. If you want to enjoy this quiet fun then be aware that it is highly likely that you will need to spend the money to get the better motor as well as a bigger better battery (for more power) --> another $25. Suddenly you realize that this truck cost more than you thought it would. When it works it is a lot of fun ... but when it stops it is quite disappointing. If you get the truck you may want to budget almost a $105 addition to your cost before it truly performs. GET THE UPGRADE. There is a truck available with a brushless motor

Excellent truck and a lot of fun! The upgrades will give you what feels like an entirely new truck as well! Parts are cheap for when you need a repair. You really can't go wrong with a ruckus.

Great truck. Buy the 3300 battery for extended, faster run times.

Indestructible monster for its price!!! Is a great starter and a great toy for the pros!!
Pros- Ive crashed and flipped it multiple times going full speed with a 2s lipo and it has not broke once!! Its WAY more durable than the traxxas slash i used to have. Cons- the motor gets very hot and starts to smell like its gonna catch fire afterunning it on monster wheels but you do get what you pay for, downsize to some 1/10 truck wheels and it much faster, longer run time, and less stress on the motor therefor no burning smell as bad at all

Great RC Truck At An Affordable Price
Update (after almost a week of use)Still loving this vehicle, haven't broken anything yet after many roll overs and a couple short cartwheels. The battery gives 10 minutes of full power then cuts down to toy RC speeds for a while. I've been running the truck for 20+ minutes a day, charging the stock battery twice. I clocked the car at 20.81 MPH on the sand covered road in front of my house using a speedometer app for my Galaxy S2 phone. I just used an elastic to strap it to the inside of the front bumper. I have some upgrades coming in the mail this week... I will update again after I install and run it with them for a while.Original review:I purchased this directly from the sellers website. For less than $200 you can't beat these vehicles. I went with this one specifically for a few reasons. Here's why:1. Ground clearance. The monster trucks have the most clearance, other than crawlers. I want to bash this around my property, not simply drive back and forth on the road.2. Durability. Every review of this truck I watched on Youtube spoke of how tough they are right out of the box. Traxxas, on the other hand... not so much.3. Price. Sure I could buy the brushless motor version for $100 more but I wanted to get into this hobby at a decent price point and see if I even wanted a faster or more expensive unit... maybe I won't, who knows. I will be able to chose the parts I want to upgrade if I do.4. Upgrade capabilities. ECX has their own parts and many other companies' product will work with these also.Speaking of upgrades, I just ran this truck for the first time 5 minutes ago.... You will want a better battery. They give you one of the lowest rated ones to start with. Battery time is very short, like 10 minutes or less. But the charger they give you is actually a pretty decent one, charge time is about an hour. You can buy a bigger Ni MH battery or go Lipo. If you are thinking of going Lipo then that will require buying a charger too. But, it will probably increase the speed a little along with run times. The manual says the ESC can handle up to an 8.4 volt input. Out of the box I'd say it does at least 20 miles an hour possibly around 25. I have a lot of sand and salt on my street from it being winter and it was zipping right by me. If I gunned it at take off I was all over the place and spinning cookies.I am very happy with my purchase. I took it easy on the truck per the manual suggestion to run it on A level smooth surfacethe first run to seat the brushes in the motor. I am looking forward to many hours of fun with this little beast.

Absolutely love this truck
Absolutely love this truck. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a descent price on a RC Monster truck. It hasn't given me any problems what so ever. Ran it for months on the stock motor which does around 30mph. Then upgraded for fun to a brushless system and it does wheelies all the way down the street. Its Easy to work on if you are looking to get into the hobby.
