GONICC PROFESSIONAL HEDGE SHEARS
We have gotten so much more rain than usual in Southern California so things are just growing like crazy. I have a wisteria vine next to my driveway that was really interfering so I ordered these hedge shears. I have a back injury so I could not use my battery operated shears and I thought these would do the truck. Sure enough, they were very easy for me to use even over my head. The blades are nice and long so they trim a lot at a time. This vine is growing very fast, so I will have to trim it at least once a week. I'm so glad I got these shears and I highly recommend them!

Fell apart after 10 minutes of trimming boxwood. ☹️
Worked great for about 10 minutes, after which the handles fell apart. I put them back together, and ensured all was secure, then the blades fell out. Wish I could return for refund but am past the return date. The ergonomics, maneuverability and how easy they were to hold were just fine... wish they didn’t just fall apart so practically immediately.

Adjustable and cut well, 4.5 stars
The most important thing is that these clippers have an adjustment knob, so you can tighten up the blades after you use the clippers for a while. From past experience with my old clippers, what happens is that when you use them for a long time, or if you use them to cut through plants with wider stems, the blades gradually come apart so you don't get a clean cut. Then you need to turn the knob to tighten the blades up. If you buy clippers with an adjustment knob, you can just turn the know by hand, without any special tools. The last pair of clippers I bought did not have the knob to adjust the blades. If they had that knob, I could probably still use them. The blades on my old clippers are still okay, but they've separated so much that they're not good for trimming smaller plants. This is the third pair of clippers I've had to buy in the last 20 years, which seems okay for the price. This new pair of clippers also has adjustable handles, so you can make the handles longer or shorter. I haven't really needed to extend the handles so far. I just use the handles at the shortest setting. As far as the clipper blades, these blades are too short for my taste. I would have preferred to buy the same clippers with longer blades, but not if I have to pay more, because I don't use them very much. I will just have to make smaller cuts when I do the lawn. My yard is very small anyway, so I just need to trim back the baby's breath and any tall plants that grow on the border. So far the new clippers have made nice, clean cuts, with very little physical effort. My house had box hedges when I bought it, and I have used this same style of clipper in the past to trim the hedges. The hedges were too much work and got in the way when I had to trim the wisteria, so I cut down the box hedges. These new clippers look like you could use them to trim a hedge, but I haven't actually tested it out. As far as durability, we will just have to see what happens over time.

Lightweight, ergonomic and get the job done
All as expected, shipping and size etc, and they were so easy to use that I might have gone a bit “loca” on the thorny bush always blocking my front door. Not too heavy so I was able to really hack at that bush without struggling with the weight of the shears - recommend!

Good cut but the tool fell apart after a couple of uses.
These are nice sharp shears with adjustable length handles. They work well but by the third time i used them, one of the blades came out of the handle. I pushed it back in, but have to check the tool every few cuts to make sure it's not coming out again. Obviously not very durable, so can't give it a good recommendation.

Not very durable
Was disappointed in a "professional" quality shear that doesn't last very long. I've had this for 2 months. Its cheaply assembled with most of the pieces are just pressed into plastic which of course gets loose after use and falls apart. Grips, handles, etc.. falling off when using it. You can see in the picture how they are fairly cheap plastic. I'm going to try to crazy glue it all back together to see if it holds, otherwise I'll be looking for a something else. Wouldn't recommend buying this IMHHO.

Outstanding Shears.
This very high quality product is a great help in all types of gardening activities. In particular, the extending handle feature allows one to reach even very high or deep areas in need of trimming.

J'adore
J'adore la force et l'efficacité de la coupe sans trop d'efforts physique pour défricher rapidement la mauvaises herbes de différentes grosseurs. J'utilise même moins mes sécateur/ébrancheur... Je ne m'en passe plus au travail....

Good for very light ise
- These work in very light things and probably not what you want then for.- for sticks of, or around half the size of my pinky, I need to use all my force and it may not work- your hands also slam together as the stop guard doesn’t really do anything and is way to small.- this is good for stems and similar type objects but anything more and I suggest getting something sturdier and safer- the blades also pass each other no matter how tight I make it, so be careful, especially when putting it away as sharp blades are likely exposed
